Windows development is an eternal battle of boomers who want a live service-online money maker and trannies/devs who want to turn it into Linux/MacOS.

How is that different from UAC?

I think that right now if you want to launch an application as admin you need to open the terminal itself as admin. With this I assume you can have a regular terminal open, write sudo command and uac will appear to authenticate it. Kinda like sudo vs su on linux.

meaning it would be closer to pkexec than sudo

You can do admin things without elevated shell.

Thanks, I swapped my server out today, that also hosts my local NTP server. The server itself hasn't updated yet I guess, just the time I set in BIOS.

You know very well this isn't a core powershell feature or cmd. you are either using gsudo or a modual.

actually handy, it's fricking annoying when you're doing stuff in a cmd and realize you need to do something that needs admin and now you have to launch a new cmd as administrator
