      Blood Meridian

      Naked Lunch

      Norwegian Wood

Come on guys, worst book you EVER read? Granted I don't devote much of my time to reading books I know I'll hate but I did happen to read Call of the Crocodile out of morbid curiosity and that was pretty fricking bad. Followed closely by Snuff, by Chuck Palahniuk.

Ok yea i was exaggerating but holy frick the characters in Norwegian Wood were terrible

I'll have to reread it but I recall loving Naked Lunch, or at least being deeply affected by it (yes I'm a little disturbed). As for Norwegian Wood, I won't rule out I'm a simpleton but I found it to be a very cozy, moving story. Whether or not the characters are objectively weak is not for me to say.

Unironically this. I just finished reading this and I spent the entire book repeating the words "This is reddit, this is memes, this is reddit, this is memes..." under my breath.

I fricking hated it. I was writhing around on the floor in front of my sofa for the last 30 minutes it was so painful.

There’s just too many "Le epic" dialogues for me. After a while when I would read a sentence I started to picture the lines appearing in front of me as a reddit post with the reddit upvote downvote arrows next to them, and let me tell you, there were lot of upvotes

Probably my least favorite book that I ever finished.

"Worst book ever read" is a tough category, because if a book sucks, people don't read it.

I DNF Atlas Shrugged, so I guess I'd say that. I tend to power through everything if I can.

it was about how even though he was the one who turned into a bug, his family were the ones acted like they are bugs. it was a lucid view of family bonds. it's okay though narratives sometimes fly over by dimwitted people's heads. it says more about you in my view how you couldn't appreciate the wonderful artistic quality of the book, for that alone it is fantastic but you don't have the ear for it either.

Had to read this for college, solidified my hatred for autobiographies. Horrible and stale writing, and also made me extremely picky on what I should read.
Guy who wrote it also went from disliking trump when the book was written, to shamelessly sucking him off like a trumptard cultist. Now he's just another wienersucker who wants that precious VP position for his political ambitions and his deranged views.

    Awful.

The Day My Butt Went Psycho. A children's novel that basically has nothing to offer but toilet humor, which would honestly be alright except it was totally unfunny. I almost suspect its financial success came from the title alone. Who could resist a title like that? Anyway yes I'm still butthurt about this. It might seem unfair to pick on a children's book, but it had a chance to at least be funny to about-10-year-old me and instead it just had no value.

Intriguing premise, god awful execution. Anything even slightly interesting happens “off-screen”, and instead you get 18 straight chapters of some foppy homosexual spouting off faux-intellectual one liners at dinner parties.
