wtf?

The share of all US tech-industry jobs that are located in California has now fallen to some of the lowest levels in a decade, dropping a full percentage point over the last year alone

Probably untrue. Cali is very socially liberal but has jobs so when jobs start leaving so will they. Mexicans/Hispanics are very socially conservative. They're the type of people to step slightly away if a gay man is about to walk past them out of disgust. I've seen it happen a few times. Quite based really

Back in 1993, we were promised that the coming Information Superhighway would mean that white collar jobs could be performed from anywhere. But instead, a huge fraction of the new tech jobs crowded into the high cost SF Bay Area, until covid finally started dispersing them.

      >until covid finally started dispersing them
The first and second waves of jobs leaving SF happened before COVID
      1st wave
      > jobs to Seattle
      > jobs to Portland
      > similar political mindset, similar shitty weather
      > also, housing was pants-on-head-moronic expensive in SF
      2nd wave
      > jobs to SLC
      > jobs to Boise
      > jobs to Nashville
      > jobs to Austin
      > housing was prime drive, taxes second
right before covid, SF streets were filled with poop and needles and fent heads
      t. flew to SF monthly to visit clients, it's a broken city and those frickers are getting everything they voted for

        >you get what you vote for
Nobody votes for this shit it's a fricking farce, people in the bay may be moronic, but California as a whole is way way more conservative than most people realize. The real issue is that morons from the Midwest move here, and shit up things because they want this to be a liberal paradise. LA is the worst part of CA and most of those frickers weren't even here before high-school, and no I don't mean fricking mexicans.

        What's wrong with wildfires?
You know you're supposed to have those regularly, right? It clears out the dead underbrush, opens seeds, fertilizes the ground and refreshes the land. Most trees don't even die in regular forest fires.
If you don't have them regularly the buildup of burnables causes a hellstorm of fire that kills everything and spreads everywhere.

two of the biggest vacuums of tech jobs are north carolina and washington state, nc being a purple state that has enough dem control to be big on environmentalism and washington state being a blue state. they only tolerate texas because austin is just the city of california in texas, they wouldn't go to a pure red state
