Don’t fall for the eat at home psyop. If you can afford to eat out, do it. You can restrict calories easier.

I gained weight eating at home. Cooking with butter, cream in sparing amounts avoiding seed oils. If you heave a weight problem, eating at home makes things more difficult. I don’t even snack. I just like to eat big meals

The trick to losing weight is controlling you calories.
To control your calories you need to track your calories.
It's much easier to track calories at home when you know what's in your food, while restaurants will typically not provide accurate nutrition facts, unless they're a sad processed food chain.
This isn't controversial. Start tracking your calories, even if you don't like the numbers you see. Keep tracking, and then start doing something about the numbers.

Yeah no shit. The quality of what you eat is irrelevant other than malnutrition from like vitamins or lacking protein or fat. It's all about the QUANTITY.

You basically psyop'd yourself into gaining 10 pounds. Let this be a lesson to you.

Most food out at like fast food or prepped meals in grocery stores have all the nutrition info on them already. So you don't have to weight things on a scale or guesstimate in the kitchen. I lost like 60 lbs eating fast food 2 meals a day every day for months.

So.. I google "Ray Peat's philosophy", and first page I find, I read this:
    >Portion size doesn’t really matter for many proponents of the Ray Peat diet, as weight loss is not its primary focus.
    > Fundamentally, followers of this diet have different goals than those trying to lose weight; most of them are seeking relief from underdiagnosed or difficult-to-pinpoint thyroid or other hormone problems. While it’s possible to use the Ray Peat diet for weight loss, it’s seldom the main reason someone adopts this approach.
What did you think would happen? If you want to lose weight, control your calories. But beyond that, sure, pick whatever diet makes you happy.

Like 90% of weight loss recommendations online are "don't eat X because X will make you hungry" instead of "don't eat X because X will make you gain weight."

Like when somebody says something will make you lose weight, there's no way to tell if it actually increases your metabolism so you lose weight or if it just makes you "less hungry". It's all fricking garbage advice. So you'll hear people say things like "eating steak helps you lose weight because of the protein" when they actually mean that protein keeps you full longer so you don't binge on more calories later, but that's never said. It's all implied with "makes you lose weight."

Sorry I'm not explaining this great but seriously weight advice online is all fricking garbage. Just count calories or whatever. I starved myself until I lost 75 pounds in 5 months.

I don't know what that means?
I lost the weight by eating 1 meal every 48 hours for all 5 months. I went from 220 to 145 pounds in that time. This was almost 2 years ago now. I'm at 158 today but trying hard not to gain it back.

Do OMAD. Everything that isnt a diet/calorie/macros restriction of some kind is a gimmick and even then the restriction based diets like OMAD are all just psychological tools to allow you to eat less and not go insane, leading you to relapse. Calorie restriction is king. Everything else is a meme.

I just realized this isn't IQfy, although in hindsight the lack of hatred directed at Ozempic should have been a clue.
Is IQfy going to become the better IQfy, in the same way /bant/ was the better IQfy for a bit?
