    >Some tell a story how the Amazonian women dislocate the joints of their male children while mere infants, some at the knee, and others at the hip-joint, that they may be maimed, and that the male sex may not conspire against the female, and that they use them as artisans to perform any sedentary work, such as that of a shoemaker or brazier. Whether these things be true or not I do not know, but this I know, that matters would be such as is represented, provided their children, while infants, were to have their joints dislocated.

it's clearly snu snu level fanfic from that era.
      literally.
This is false for several reasons, but let's stick to some very obvious ones like the lack of male bodies with such bone problems.
Now, in the fanfic itself it is not mentioned that the Scythians killed their men, so it would be common to see such archaeological finds.
Another big problem is the demographic issue, a woman only gets pregnant every 9 months, a man can get pregnant several times, and with women fighting and dying in wars, the number of women has to increase in the general population or in female guerrillas. would be doomed from the beginning.
Anyway, it was a very poorly done fanfic...
It's a shame that the Scythians didn't have writing to explain themselves to the world and today, morons like you and others, take such feminist blog-level fanfic seriously.

I didn't explain myself much haha
I wanted to say that, if this were true, it would be common to find archaeological finds of men with their bones broken, precisely in the way that the fanfic presents... we are talking about a population, at least some bones would have to present such characteristics. and we do not find this in Scythian tombs.
and contrary to what many feminists and women (same thing actually) deceive themselves satanically, is that the simple fact of finding buried noble women, this would somehow imply a matriarchy that women had power in society n shiet, this is false for various reasons, the same with religious female figures, if in 2000 years in the future, someone finds photos of athena, or even the temple of athena, would it be logical to assume that the Greeks were matriarchal? Well, I don't know why God made women like this.

Exactly. It pisses me off to no end. There’s this one Native tribe, wish I could remember.

Basically, leftists did a surface level read of their history and concluded they were LGBT tolerant and allowed people to transition, and “respected their pronouns”

In reality: This particular tribe has strict gender roles, and men are expected to fulfill certain roles, and engage in violent conquests against other tribes, also partaking in risky “coming of age” ceremonies like stealing horses from enemies to “prove you’re a man”.

Any man who refuses this violent savage lifestyle which is required for ALL males, has an option besides exile and death. Surrender your right to carry a weapon, the privileges of a man/warrior in the tribe, do your hair like a woman, dress like a woman of the tribe, live with them, only allowed (required) to do the same tasks as them such as cooking for the tribe, and accept the title of (insert stupid mative ooga booga term here) which essentially translates to: “one who would like to be a girl”

    It was a humiliation ritual.

Yep, just found it. It’s the Lakota and the ones who go through the humiliation ritual are called “Winkte”, a contraction of the Lakota word “winyanktehca” (wants to be like a woman)

Synonymous with homosexual and troony as well, the word is used in that context

      Unironically

In warrior tribes around the world, there often existed a “third gender” of pseudo-women (men) with few or no rights

This was not a progressive thing, it was literally “you are such a sad weak b***h we’ll only let you live if you accept life as a prison twink”.

Yeah this is common concept in a lot of cultures, a man who is so effeminate and weak he can hardly be considered a real man anymore, but also isn't a woman either. Basically equivalent to gay, it's definitely not seen as positive

There were no matriarchal societies nor societies ran by women. Women are weak and need men for the essential care of existence.

Female cults and exaggeration of female power does happen at times in history, though this is once the foundations of a society is already established enough to allow women the ability to muster their sexual power against men.

I've never read a single piece of convicning literature about our ancient ancestors or bygone cultures to make me believe these ideas are anything but the mad ravings and desires of harridans obsessed with female power or senile men that get onanistic when picturing themselves at the heel of females.

The minoan myth is well, that. It's been re-examined a few times now and the clearer picture is one of confusion and guesswork. We have some depictions of men too in other roles which may indicate prowess. We simply can't evaluate a bygone civilisation by scant art depicting that some women were powerful. They may have been or we may be seeing something uniquely different. Either way, it's scant and not proof. As I say, I have never seen any true convincing argument for either the minoans or any other people, most serious anthropologists generally agree there too. People like Gimbutas really damaged the collective mind of un-objective academics on ancient anthropology. People like Dumezil are far more reliable.

In short: You're a moron that clearly hasn't read anything about it since you heard it was a matriarchy. Look at the frescos, you'll see women in the same roles they always are, noble women, lesser servants and lower. We see issues of breastfeeding, childcare etc, we see men in the usual stance, peforming ritual sport/combat against animals or each other. The only real belief to be made for it being a matriarchy is the assumption of Evans about a mother god. That's it. Cope, seethe and read more.

Furthermore in Greek popular belief there is nothing to suggest that the Minoans were in any way different from their Greek contemporaries.

Funnily enough, matriarchal societies are associated with mass graves of women and children. It's also likely, judging by Greek writers, that matriarchies were very bad to women. In a sense it's logical. A matriarch is a mater, a mother, and a man is always someone's son.
