Your own piece of Venetian history: Palazzo Molin

Palazzo Molin is the former home of the noble Molin family of Venice whose coat of arms hangs above the main entrance to the palazzo. It is listed by the Belle Arti for the historical importance of its facades and architecture, which is contrasted by the clean bright contemporary design and interiors, a very rare combination in Venice. Residents will be able to enjoy modern facilities in a historic listed building.

Palazzo Molin is a collection of 18 elegant apartments in a converted 15th century listed palazzo with original gothic facade, moments from La Fenice Opera House and St Mark’s Square at the heart of Venice. It was built by the Molin family, who provided the ancient Venetian Republic with a dodge, Francesco Molin, from 1646 to 1655, and Mozart stayed in the property when he visited Venice in 1771. Residents will have sole use of a very substantial private courtyard and furnished lobby, designed by renowned Milanese design house CULTI. There will be a flexible concierge service, maid service and private water taxi service on request. The building is bordered on two sides by canals and has two water gates, allowing direct access by boat.

Venice is a great place to invest in property; the history of the city and variety of events that take place throughout the year, including the Carnevale and Biennale for Art, attract around 20 million tourists a year.

Prices: from €765,000 for a ground floor one-bedroom apartment to €5.5 million for one of the very grand piano noble apartments.

This property is marketed by Sotheby’s International Realty.
