YOUTUBE WILL WIN:

>protect the videos with Netflix-like DRM (impossible to download it)
>start to require a subscription to access YouTube
>ads inserted randomly and directly into the videos (if you want to watch youtube without ads you have to sign into "youtube premium max plus")
It's that simple.

piracy was a service issue, if the service is shit people will seek out alternatives. question is if it can be profitable to run an alternative to youtube.

Dozens of sites have delivered a better service, it doesn't matter because Youtube has infinite momentum, all the content is already there. There is no drop-in replacement for it, every competitor has to start from scratch and fail.

highly doubt that it will happen anytime soon however DRMs themself are not untouchable. Certain hdmi splitters are able to bypass HDCP (at least on 720p) and keys can be leaked (the same way the key for widewine leaked a few years ago). Da jooz cant do much about insider access.

doing so makes sure a normal doesn’t read a headline and think “wait, those ads are annoying as shit, there’s a way to block them?” and now they’re aware of adblockers. This is going to backfire on israelitetube, mark my words

A normal is just going to be like "damn... my adblock doesn't work anymore. That sucks" and continue using youtube. Not bothering to go out of their way to find the version of adblock that still works.
