It really isn't avant-garde at all, and one of its defining features is its accessibility, social character, ability to be easily produced and reproduced, and appeal to the lowest common denominator, which is why it's the perfect kind of music for a civilization in which culture has been industrialized. Even the more experimental music they and the white musicians who play the genres they developed seems to take genuinely challenging musical ideas and make the them accessible and consumable.
Whether that's good or bad (hell my paragraph is probably a little too harsh towards it) is debatable, but it for sure is the furthest thing from avant-garde you can get.

there's several reasons. declined consumption of traditional forms of media such as books has resulted in overwhelming consumption of social media on the internet. this leads to exposure in several ways and has a synergistic effect with israeli media promoting the idea of coolness and popularity and intermingling it with Black folk, in the form of modern music, modern films, gang culture and so on.
