I enjoyed the layout of military philosophy and the nuances of a person manoeuvring their way up the ranks. Thanks

We don’t read.
Meds
Sharpe series but it's historical fiction oriented towards drama and adventure. Aside from that check out the reading lists that the US military provides on their various websites.
Thanks for the response, I’ll check them out.

Shit like this. This one is pretty basic by way of fiction recs but there are plenty more of them out there too.
Thanks for the recs.

No problem. Those lists are actually kind of hard to find via Google now for some reason. I mentioned them because Starship Troopers was frequently on Westpoint's commandant's list. I found the URL in the pic from the article above and it links to Instagram, which I don't use, so you can look for yourself (IQfy thinks it's spam so I can't post it).
You could also try finding syllabi from various courses in English programmmes at those colleges mentioned above (or other ones). good luck and I hope you find something worth reading.
Thanks again. There isn’t much of a list where I’m from that’s extensive as that. Will do.
Cheers.

Nothing really. Some nice Anon told me to read Armor by John Steakley, but I still didn't read it.
Cool, seems like a good read regardless. Will check it out.
The Anabasis by Xenophon.
Maybe 'war as an inner experience' by Ernst Junger, since you liked the military philosophy of Starship Troopers. I can also recommend Copse 125 by Junger too.
A Hymn Before Battle, by John Ringo.
