And on it goes. Kids with ancient hand-me-down-from-mommy computers crying that their old shit is about to die when every single other person has been able to move on without any fricking hint of a problem. Don't worry, mommy will get you a "new" computer soon when she needs a new computer because Facebook loads a little too slow on her old Win10 system.

pretty pointless image, mbp 2015 still gets the latest OS

Well, 10 years of support is generous enough, no questions about that, but what's more infuriating is picrelated. Why should I move from older, but perfectly working machine, capable of performing my menial tasks to newer one just in order to upgrade a fricking OS? And it's not like they use some newer CPU features like SSE4.2 or AVX to "increase performance" (Win11 is still capable of running on Core 2 Duo or Phenom II CPUs), they just adding some artificial restrictions like Secure Boot (that prevents to run other OSes and breaks compatibility with older GPUs, because they are lacking GOP) and TPM 2.0 (on desktop you need that mostly for BitLocker and Windows Hello, and I wouldn't necessary say that those features are essential in every PC). In my opinion, you either go full Apple and have a total control over your hardware (that is still anti-consumer but at least it's honest) or you continue to support wider variety of hardware as long as humanly possible; everything else is offensive and idiotic.

      Upgrade to 10 LTSC

Unusable on HDD like every other Win10.

And yes, forcing every user to move on SSD is infuriating as well. It should be a quality of life upgrade, not a fricking requirement. Linux distros are running relatively well on HDDs, so why your bloated piece of crap shouldn't? DO YOUR JOB, that's what you're paid for with my and other people money (it's not like I'm enjoying a two decade long free ride with my VL key back from WinXP days, I've got to pay for every other iteration of your product, aren't I?). And I can't move away entirely from your products, because everyone is on your needle, everyone seems to think nowadays that convenience is infinitely more important than pride or freedom.

Pretty soon there will be Win11 and nothing else. What will the UPDOOTERs do then?

Well, Linux is always an option. I switched from Win7 on my main rig to Fedora almost 3 years ago and never looked back. I can't do that with my laptop though, it's either Windows on MBR partition or nothing.

And forgot to mention, practically unattainable by ordinary people because of expensive and convoluted purchasing process.

OP's mom should abort them now as late term abortions are legal.

    Just cite microsofts' legalize.

Any details? Because WES7/POSReady 7 already have longer ESU than normal 7, if they increase to 4/5/6 does the embedded SKUs increase as much too?
