Gentoo because arch's way is strictly speaking inferior to ebuilds once you start dealing with the AUR.

I used to run LFS, but rebuilding reverse dependencies on it when updating things made me want to kill myself.

I've actually learned bash, instead of just using it, so I already knew what these shitposts do from the first moment I ever saw one.
I've never fallen for a trick like this in my life, I went straight from not knowing about them to knowing about them without ever having to experience them in-between.
I'm simply that based and intelligent.
Yet you still got me to reply, because I can't help but brag about this.
I wanted so badly to tell you that your implicit argument against Linux users is wrong because I am a counterexample to that argument.
I wanted it so badly that I gave you a (You) anyway just to say it.
Thus actually proving your point instead.
Well played and also frick you.

      -j6 isn't gonna cut it.
Gentoo recommends -jN+1. N being the number of threads. So for your threadripper that would be -j129.

You know, I've been noticing that Gentoo has been making moronic decisions lately (killing eudev, increasing dependence on elogind, systemd-utils, etc) but I really fail to see how funtoo improves the situation compared to just maintaining a local overlay with anything upstream fricked up.

        Anonymous

it's completely valid and sane to maintain your won overlay, if you got the time for it. For others it's often better to rely on people who are politically "more stable" and have a huge understanding of what they are doing ( in the case of funtoo you got Robbins, the daddy of gentoo, who got expelled of his duties by complete c**ts who were allowed to "democracy" gentoo in the first place).

Arch, because at least the stereotype isn't entirely true for all users. I've met plenty of regular people that use it, my boss uses it and he's a straight white married man.

Gentoo on the other hand is used exclusively by Richard Stallman, and people who look like Richard Stallman.
