Are we really supposed to believe that Jesus was a 33 year old virgin?

Are we really supposed to believe that Jesus was a 33 year old virgin? I mean even if he's a God he's still in a man's body. Men have needs. He attracted a large following of men and women, including Mary Magdalene. There's no way he didn't have sex with her. I refuse to believe someone who was a minor celebrity at the time remained a virgin for his whole life.

He never married and lived a sinless life which means he never had sex. Satan did tempt Jesus but Jesus refused every temptation.

What kind of argument am i supposed to have with you right now?I can't prove a negative but I'm gonna say that jesus was arguably more popular posthumously when the gospels were written during his lifetime he tried to not stand out too much.

jesus didnt say that sex was immoral, in fact, he said that you only see sex as a thing because of your social constructs. in heaven there wont be husband and wife because things like marriage are considered "unnecessary", vows wont be a thing because your thoughts will be consequent with your actions

the gospel of philip kind of touches this subject:

    WISDOM, MOTHER OF THE ANGELS

Wisdom, who is called “barren,” is mother of the angels.

The companion is Mary of Magdala. Jesus loved her
more than his students. He kissed her often
on her face, more than all his students,
and they said, “Why do you love her more than us?”
The savior answered, saying to them,
“Why do I not love you like her? If a blind man
and one who sees are together in darkness,
    they are the same.

When light comes, the one who sees will see light.

The blind man stays in darkness.”

He was a man, but didn't have original vulnus neither original sin. This means he was perfectly capable of controlling his sexual istinct, he never felt uncontrolled lust.

14Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. 15He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

16He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

18“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,

        because he has anointed me

to proclaim good news to the poor.

        >He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners

        >and recovery of sight for the blind,

        to set the oppressed free,

19to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” f

20Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

22All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.

23Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to me: ‘Physician, heal yourself!’ And you will tell me, ‘Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.’ ”

24“Truly I tell you,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown. 25I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. 26Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. 27And there were many in Israel with leprosy g in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”

28All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. 29They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff.

33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’
        >34 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard
, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ 35 But wisdom is proved right by all her children.”

jesus the human person was very different from what is depicted in the bible.

yet he said what he said (gospel of thomas) and died on the cross believing it, it gave us a shot at freedom (for before him no one tried to give us liberty, we were expected to be turbo cattle like people are in modern day. can you imagine someone from 2000 years ago being told he cant go far away and just build a home far from everyone because he has to pay the land and then the materials while companies get to extract everything and get money for it?)

You are allowed to be intimate with your wives, and those who you posess by your right hand (slave girl concubines). YHWH sends you the slave girl concubines after you have victories in the field fighting for his cause. Intimacy with you concubines occurs in the shadow of the holy spirit. Remember, he who could be celibate should be (ie, concubines basically rape you, it's not a decision you make).

He was literally God and had perfect control over his body.

Also, just 100 years ago, it wasn't that hard for men to maintain their virginity for even a lifetime if necessary. Women dressed appropriately, there was no porn and promiscuity was lambasted in very severe terms in society.

He didn't live in 2022, OP.

Yeah but he lived a perfectly sinless life, so that trumps anything else you could possibly say.
    >jesus was fully man so why didn't he fall into human sin like any other man
Because he was fully God, and sinless. You seriously couldn't have thought that through? You seriously couldn't have thought that through on your own? Come the frick on, man. Don't make us reply to this shit.

God transcends your coomer bullshit. If he has the power to incarnate himself as a man that is capable of resurrecting himself to save humanity from sin, he has the power not to let his peepe rule his life.

He almost certainly didn't marry (or we'd hear about his wife and kids in the bible and they'd play a big role in church history, we hear plenty about his brother James).

Hard to say one way or another about non-reproductive sex though.
