Japanese people would make up over 1/3 of the population, would instantly support making whichever political party would let them become their own country again, and the vast majority of white Americans would agree with this

They just cannot annex them into a state. Not how it works. They would become an incorporated territory like Puerto Rico, the citizens of Japan would have to vote to become a state and they will most likely vote for parties to be independent.

when someone comes of age, they pick some path in life.
    Some end up as doctors.
    Some teachers.
Some accountants, soldiers, sailors, factory workers, managers, PR, officers, consultants, therapists, pilots, safety inspectors, tax auditors, salesmen, lawyers, barristas, artists, orchestra members, carpenters, plumbers, truck drivers, engineers, even burger flippers. there's so many roads you can take in life.
and then, there's the lifely endeavours that make a man. the ones that complete and fulfill your life; marriage, procreation, love, happiness, striving forward, success, owning your home, and so on.

what did OP chose, out of all of this, when he picked his life's calling? he chose the little known profession of making ritual threads on IQfy. this is his life. he didn't need any education for this; all he has to do is access imagery on his huge folders and hit the upload button, and maybe throw some meaningless text alongside an image. he does it for free. everytime one of his threads is deleted, he hurries and makes a new one. day after day, his already wasted life wastes even more. and the more it wastes, the more fervent the ever-creeping existential crisis crawls into his mentality.
"what have I accomplished?" "what do i have to my name?" "surely someone will recognize my hundreds of ritual threads?" are questions that sink their gnaws deeply into OP's empty frame. One day, the truth will finally weigh itself into his consciousness. It will be a black day for OP, and his days are have a charcoal complexion.
