Fight back, reflect: take the most moronic pieces, and mash them together and upload.

Yeah I get so bored even with vidya and stuff. I just end up scrolling shorts forever. I still read 30 min or so a day though usually. Life is just boring sometimes man.

I do not understand how you people can watch vidya all day. It's not interesting, books are better and you should be writing.

They aren't watching, they are "watching". You are too old to get it.

nta, explain. "watching" as a communion with the spirit of the times?

Watching as in playing some game and having a video or scroll hell on the other screen. Splitting attention on so many levels to distract oneself from reality that it fricks you on many levels

They aren't paying that much attention to it. Consider that they are hypnotized, something could pop on the screen or some sound so that they would snap out of it. But if you start asking for details about what they were watching, they will probably won't be able to say much about it besides how they were feeling. It is mostly about feel than attention.

ChadGPT can already generate better prose than 99% of posts in writegay threads, why bother?

You write for the process, not the result. It's good for your mind

are you still studying? study in your unis library/ find a job that is NOT wfh. just force yourself to spend most of your time in an environment you are not used to mindless procrastination. when you got better, you can spend more time at home again. Or just get a dumbphone. Meditation also helped me at least. Good luck!

Find something else to do without the internet and get used to feel bored once in a while, it is how we end up having good ideas.

The only solution is to get rid of the phone and laptop. I lock mine away for 3 months every year.

Not really, just don't use social media and disable notifications. I used to do that back when I was in college and it would work just fine.
