My man you’re getting turned up over teenage girls who probably don’t even wanna be there but are forced to by their moms. If anyone wants to be a preist, it’s the Karen’s and Sharon’s on the parish committee who strongarm Father into including more guitar masses and women leaders (which yes include alter girls) into the liturgy. Blame the player not the pawns.

old parish council church women are really the bane of religion

IMO it's almost inevitable that the Catholic Church will allow women priests within the next 10-15 years. The Church is rapidly liberalising on topics of gender, the priesthood, sexuality etc. This will only accelerate when Cardinal Tagle becomes the next Pope. He is even more progressive than Francis.

I'd rather they get rid of clerical celibacy first, which is a heretical innovation.

They will get rid of all the conservative traditions. Clerical celibacy, no women's priests and anti-homosexuality will all be changed. It's clear where the winds are blowing on this. I think the Church will remain anti-abortion however.

you homos have been saying this for like 60 years now, and you no longer even have the USSR to help you guys infiltrate the church.

I'm not saying I want it to happen, it just seems clear to me that this is what's going to happen. Tagle is clear favorite to be the next Pope and he will move the Church in this direction. Also, remember that the Church is holding a synod next year that will specifically focus on reforming the Church to suit the laity's requests, and most of the laity have sent documents requesting liberalisation on gender, homosexuality and married priests.

Clerical celibacy is not conservative. Early priests married and had sex. Clerical celibacy was monks becoming pope and forcing their behavior on all clergy. The fact that Eastern Orthodox can marry is evidence that it is an innovation.

            their bishops cannot marry.

Getting rid of clerical celibacy won't resolve any problems people hope for it to solve, and will create new problems. Prots have married pastors, but they also do it mostly part-time. The lifestyle of priest means if we wanted them to be married as well, they would need to be funded sufficiently by the parish in order to support a large catholic family. Maybe its a good idea, I dunno.

The gay stuff / priestess stuff is not on the table. The innovations they are trying to get is divorce and birth control, not anal marriage or w/e lmao.

Studies show that the younger clergy is more conservative.

Your homosexual infiltration of the church in the 60s so you could diddle boys was still not enough to bring down the church. The gates of hell will never prevail!

        Never going to happen

Once a point of dogma is established, the Pope, the magisterium, and even another great council, is powerless — and without authority — to dis-establish it.

For it to dis-establish a dogma, it would dis-establish itself — i.e., it would prove itself to be a false Church, and not the repository of Faith on whose infallible authority the faithful can trust in all matters of faith and practice.

If you’re waiting for the Roman Catholic Church to reverse its long established and frequently re-affirmed dogma on marriage, human sexuality, and sexual sin, you’ll be waiting until doom cracks.

My ex wife and my current wife were alter girls when they were young. They are amongst the small amount of women who can truly appreciate the history of religions. I hope you keep yourself safe.
