Poets in all Europe wrote poems about the Greek gods into the 19th century.

It's not about any actual penis. The reason it had a clear symbolic meaning to them was due to cultural associations from things like theatre. If you want to make something aesthetically "clean" and ideal you try to avoid triggering associations with the base world of beasts, feces and anuses.

Not just a little, the main "pagan practice" that worried the Christians of the time were the Satyr plays/orgies, still going strong in Western Europe.

There were no pagans at that time, also this simply proves what I said. The most influence achieved was some sex orgies (possibly preceding their rebranding as Satyric) among a sea of other cultural traits which was then wiped out anyway

Picking the worst eras of France/Germany as completely distinct from the Greek lineage proves the point.

Have 600-2023 as well. Basically after Rome stopped enforcing their own culture by force

Basically the entirety of the arts are Greek in origin. A very clear example can be seen in the Western musical tradition which was deliberately created as a resurrection of Greek drama. Visual art grew out of mythological themes, theater and poetry followed Greek norms, etc.

The unification of the modern states is a bit organic to cite in terms of any historical influence but philosophically enlightened principles and the example of the Roman Empire are certain influential factors.

Cultural diffusion happened to more remote degrees in more remote reaches if that‘s what you‘re trying to imply anything by; but it‘s been demonstrated at length that Greece had a major influence on the body of European culture including the non-deleterious aspects of christianity which were pilfered from it. You seem to be playing some obscure word game as a means to cope.

They literally are one dimension of it, Aristotle was esteemed in a number of fields, the aforementioned arts—and the legacy of those artists—played a significant role, and the Nietzschean angle could well be used to say that certain archetypes persisted. You‘re narrowing the field with a series of backpedals to where it‘s almost incomprehensible what point you‘re attempting to make.

            Anonymous

There's no backpedal. The culture that virtually all Europeans in NW, W, NE, E Europe had for the past 3500 years and culture means way of life, social mores etc, does not come from Greeks. Some similarities might exist due to human nature just like they did in 1000 bc

The Romans absorbed everything Greek they could find; they greatly esteemed Greek culture. The Roman empire and church (the latter being adopted as the state religion) continued right through to the present. The complete hegemony of the church over Europe for a thousand years moulded and maintained the jurisprudence, literacy and art despite the political disunity.

I'll rephrase what I said, for your comprehension: The Romans larped as Greeks, faking it til they made it. The Roman civilization continued in various permutations down to the present: the French, the Italian states, the Papacy, and Byzantium. After the fall of the latter and departure of their intellectual class to Russia, they considered themselves the heirs of classical civilization.

True. I think Spengler says something about this in the Decline of the West that Western culture is the only one which blindly worships another culture (classical Greek antiquity). If you actually look at classical Greek society it was horrible. moronic, superstitious religion with no philosophical or moral depth. Pedophilia and homosexuality practiced openly. Lack of political unity, Greek city states backstabbing each other against the Persians. Intellectuals like Socrates sentenced to death for engaging in philosophical inquiry. Even their greatest philosophers were monotheists at core.

The unification of the modern states is a bit organic to cite in terms of any historical influence but philosophically enlightened principles and the example of the Roman Empire are certain influential factors.

Anon, you are not making any sense. Who even brought up nudity into this question? The fact is that in the original piece a highly idealized hero is holding high the severed head of a monster, showing it with pride, while in the new one a fairly average girl is almost slouched, holding the head down and with a spiteful expression in her features.

That sounds like bullshit. Casting a statue is a labourious process and its not something you go about in one night after being inspired. Just the prep work alone, e.g. getting clay and forming the clay sculpture, would easily take a few days. You cant do that entire process quickly.

It's not about any actual penis. The reason it had a clear symbolic meaning to them was due to cultural associations from things like theatre. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grace_Hopper
            >One of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer, she was a pioneer of computer programming. Hopper was the first to devise the theory of machine-independent programming languages, and the FLOW-MATIC programming language she created using this theory was later extended by others to create COBOL, an early high-level programming language still in use today.
            >At Eckert–Mauchly she managed the development of one of the first COBOL compilers. She believed that programming should be simplified with an English-based computer programming language. Her compiler converted English terms into machine code understood by computers. By 1952, Hopper had finished her program linker (originally called a compiler), which was written for the A-0 System.[2][3][4][5] During her wartime service, she co-authored three papers based on her work on the Harvard Mark 1. She is accredited with writing the first computer manual, “A Manual of Operation for the Automatic Sequence Controlled Calculator.”
            >In 1954, Eckert–Mauchly chose Hopper to lead their department for automatic programming, and she led the release of some of the first compiled languages like FLOW-MATIC. In 1959, she participated in the CODASYL consortium, which consulted Hopper to guide them in creating a machine-independent programming language. This led to the COBOL language, which was inspired by her idea of a language being based on English words. Hopper promoted the use of the language throughout the 60s. In 1966, she retired from the Naval Reserve, but in 1967 the Navy recalled her to active duty. She retired from the Navy in 1986 and found work as a consultant for the Digital Equipment Corporation, sharing her computing experiences.

That's the problem- there's no way to tell in advance. And a lot of men who rape don't think of what they're doing as "rape", they think of it was "she was clearly asking for it" or "it's her duty as a wife" or "she just didn't want to admit she wanted it".

Non-consensual sex is in fact very bad.

So when a doctor injects a measles vaccine in a child, that's rape?

No, because A that's not sexual and B there's a good reason for it. There is never a good reason to have sex with someone who doesn't consent. (I mean I'm sure you could come up with a contrived thought experiment where there is, like if someone is telling you "rape this person or I'll nuke a whole city" and you have no way to stop them, but it is extremely unlikely that you will ever be in such a situation.)

I'd probably agree with you, you'd just need to give some clear reasoning as to why.

I'd suspect you'd say non-consensual sex is bad because it causes trauma, but that's actually not universally true. Rape is not inherently traumatic. Commonly it is, but people can have very diverse reactions to things and some people don't get traumatized at all by rape.

Now back to the point; I read one of these days that in norse cultures (that the greeks would call barbarians) women and men had a duty to each other.
Mind you, if you, as woman, had a husband who stopped frequenting you, you would have all the right to divorce him, in this society.
They wouldn't look down on you for this.

The right to the sex of your partner went both ways in this model. Do you see any problem with that?

            Divorce. You see?
We already have an institute for this.
Why then submit a man to the same stigma, the same social reproval (if taken at face value) and penalty? What for?
What do we win from that?
Should we sign a contract everynight we go to bed?
Why push more bureaucracy into our love?
Is it the State the only way to solve conflicts?

If anything, bantus didn't conquer so much as had high birth rates. They're relatively docile populations when they aren't being trained by the soviets / CIA like with the Simbas in the Congo. Historically they're one of the best / easiest populations to enslave. The Tutsi were only about 10 percent of rawanda's population.

If you mean the US where the state deliberately agitates the bantus and doesn't police them, their crime / protests would dissolve instantly with violent policing and more prison. The only reason there is a problem is because the government is doing its best to agitate black people.

The most important thing about picrel is not its artistic merit, but the fact that it is there. That is, givern the location in a public park in New York, it is a signal to all that the "woke" crowd have captured that particular institution (government of New York city). It's a demonstration of power, pure and simple, like the destruction of the Lee statue in Charlottesville. We need to work towards the day when this monstrosity is removed and melted down.

Men are stronger, faster and smarter than women, that's why we're more than just reproductive organs. Men can do literally everything better than women, with the exception of getting pregnant.

I mean women are perfectly functional adults just like men. They have jobs and take care of their families and can do whatever they want. There's plenty of stupid men out there and they aren't just better simply because they are a man. Saying you are stronger than women doesn't mean shit because we aren't in caveman times anymore when that was necessary. I always laugh when you guys say things like this because don't you have female family members? Probably have mommy issues tbh

Yeah I know. You mean incel as in a man who hates women. There's an actual word for that. It's called "misogynist". I don't know why you wouldn't just use that word instead.
