He then is given Eve to wife who is Created by God from his rib, and has children with her and gets to see his children for 780+ more years, which God calls “walking with his children.” Some for up to 400 years. Yes, God can count years. This is really how long we used to live with strong bodies from God. This is what awaits us in Heaven through Christ Jesus, and a lot more. Eternity is even longer. Job talks with God and tells him about the Leviathan and the legs as big as cedars. These are more than just wishful thinking.

Because the early bible is trying to fit a large amount of relatively unknown history into a few historical names, which are still remembered. Anything happening in the bible pre-David is somewhere between made up and heavily mysticized. This is not a critique of the bible or a renounciation of god, as most of those stories still manage to bring a point across and are not meant to be taken as a history textbook
