It's honestly just too long. It's not feasible to read in 2023 when time is so limited, unless you have absolutely nothing in life going on.

It's worth taking a week long break and read it.
Read a little every day, and you'll eventually finish it.
I finished the last 300 pages in one sitting.
That would be your best Sunday.
I listened to it on audiobook whilst doing other shit and it was fantastic

And what the frick do you have going? A wife and two kids? Doubt it. Stop coping. Play less video games, drop tranime and you can easily finish it in less then two weeks.
this book makes you feel like the main character who waited 24 years to get his revenge, because it took you very long to read
>most of the book was written by a White European (Auguste Maquet)
>Dumas wrote some of the flowery language
>Dumas, succumbing to his Blackal admixture, stole it and refused to give him credit nor royalties
>The Blackphile french court rules in favour of Dumas solely because he was a famous mongrel nepo baby
Around blacks never relax
Zoom zoom can't concentrate? Go read two sentence horror stories on Reddit then.
Skill issue. I read it in my teens and it was amazing. That was the right age to read a novel like that, now I wouldn't have time or even the same level of enjoyment.
I read it at 25, also very shortly after a long term relationship fell apart. I enjoyed it a lot. The misery resonated with me
I can't see why anyone would waste their time reading through 19th century equivalent of a Marvel movie. Monte Cristo is an elevated chapbook.
100% unabridged is fine for monte cristo
Black person, 1200 pages is like the length of 4 regular books. If you can't read 4 books over even a couple of months, then you're an illiterate NPC.
>2023 when time is so limited
The day has had 24 hours since before our species even existed.
I read this book like two weeks ago. I finished it in like 2 weeks. Git gud.
The book goes down smooth. 100 pages of Monte Cristo is like 10 pages of Pynchon or one paragraph of Hegel.
>Bitching about lack of time
>While posting on IQfy
It is not a difficult read, it can easily be finished in a week or two. You will enjoy it. Trust me.
Dude the unabridged is a waste of time. He had a ghost writer and his prose do not warrant 1200 pages. The best part of that book is the plot. Stop reading the unabridged it was a slog.
Try reading it in the fall or winter. Cosy hobbies come into their own then. I tend to read about 100 pages a day over those months.
