Looking for a new wireless router

Need a new router. I don't have a lot of experience with these as the one I have was my first one.

The issues I have with my current is that I have 3 cellphones, my computer, my oldest son's computer, and a TV running on this thing. And the router would pick and choose who would randomly get booted, or completely bottleneck the data, other than my LAN line. It also had shit range, often losing signal completely through one wall or after about 25 feet. My son must have a wireless receiver due to the old house not having a cable connection.

So, my new router needs to improve on these issues. And if possible, be very fast. Both me and my oldest son do online gaming, and the router never seems to fully utilize my Internet speeds I pay for, even through the LAN line.

Pic related is what I found, but is quite pricey. But if I have to pay that much, I want something that does everything I need. Can you make a recommendation?

tl;dr
>looking for new router
>needs to be very fast with LAN and wireless connections
>needs as many open connections to multiple devices as possible
>Signal needs to be able to reach at least 80 feet away

They're EOL since the chips are EOL.

You don't need something THAT high end for the amount of devices you described.
I barely know this stuff too but I think anything these days that supports WiFi 6 and up should be able to handle what you describe aside from the range issue.
Like look at pic related. Even something like this should be good enough for you I think.

Basic advicr because it somehow seems sorely fricking needed. Get a router, and get an Access Point. Don't get a combination. A $25 old optiplex, and a 10Gbit 4 port PCIE card will outperform every single router on the market for one fifth the price. And then any well reviewed mesh AP will be enough.

Please stop posting such poor threads.

Just grab the latest $100 tp-link router, they’re always releasing a new model to replace the current one at that price point and they’re solid. Done work for a business and that router gives out 600mb/s speeds over wifi under load. If you need more Ethernet ports just grab a cheap unmanaged switch.

      And 10x the electricity costs

What is the difference between access point and a (wireless) router?

APs just have 1 single job: convert ethernet data into wifi signals. WR will perform network processing (normally only done by a router) and also do the job of an AP.

The wienersucker motherfrickers skimp out on good CPUs for WRs so they often do a shit job compared to a R + AP.

Any $100 router should fit your needs but if you have an old brick house that kills signals in it you may want to look into a router with 2 or 3 access points.

    LOOK AT THE CPU.

These wienersucker motherfrickers will stuff the most anemic shit in these things + low RAM so you'll want to blow your brains out or even better, CONSOOOM a better one.

        YES. IT. IS.

If you think a fricking black box responsible for doing things multiple networking jobs should be using a fricking 800 MHz dual-core MIPS CPU then you must be smoking crack.

$20 FLIP PHONES at wallmart now have 1.4 GHz quad-core A53 SoCs and their main job is to write simple texts and call people. Think about that for a minute.
