Yes this is obviously completely wrong and self-contradictory. If you do not know the truth of a claim, you do not know which party is the victim. If the accusation is false, the victim is actually the accused. But he only advocating believing the accuser which creates the environment of "no one ever believing the victim".

honestly it's very easy to guess what happened:
- the severe sourcehut outage left the employees really fed up with drew's shitty architectural decisions and general behavior.
- simon, who by contrast to drew is very reliable, writes correct code and cares about organization, probably started pushing back against drews shitty decisions.
- drew probably snapped and went fully unhinged over some small thing like always.
simon is clearly some sort of savant programmer; tons of people in the community know and respect him and he'll get a good job soon. with time i'm sure he'll realize he stuck with sourcehut too long and that it was an abusive relationship.
