Another phone with low specs and bloated price that appeals to "nostalgia" and nothing else.
>Another phone with low specs
Wrong.
- Amoled 6.67" FHD+, 120Hz, GG Victus, Around curved, HDR10+
- SD7sGen2 SoC
- ISOCELL HM2 108MP OIS + 8MP UW + 2MP, Dual LED / 32MP AF OIS selfie
- 8,12GB/256GB
- 4,900mAh + 33W, 30W Qi
- IP67, BT5.2, nfc, FPS on screen, 3.5mm. jack, 3mics etc.
that ship has sailed
>curved display
You mean rounded display corners with boxy body corners? That's Lumia's signature design
name one older lumia model with rounded display corners
I meant rounded black bezel. In the current year, pretty much all phones have rounded display corners except S24 Ultra
flithy trend
props to sony for keeping it proper
Why wouldn't you want rounded corners on the phone's body? It won't be as sharp or prone to damage
>Why wouldn't you want rounded corners on the phone's body?
I like boxy phone design with sharp corners and Lumia's signature design always looked good.
>It won't be as sharp
I've never actually held a boxy phone with sharp corners so it might be uncomfortable to hold. But doesn't it bother you that you lose pixels because of rounded display corners?
>6.67"
dropped
>SD7sGen2 SoC
>aSnapdragon 7s Gen 2chipset, a 120 Hz OLED display and a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 as its primary camera sensor.
Why the frick would you ever need more than that? Are you some shitjeet who plays PUBG and asiaticshit impact all day? It's a PHONE. The price is shit, but still.
>Why the frick would you ever need more than that?
I don't, but nu-Nokia is moronic for trying to sell these specs
for $500 when chink companies and even nu-Motorola during sales offer the same for ~$300. I always liked the N9's design and like the colors of these new phones, but $500 is too much.
reliability? support?
>reliability? support?
Not a thing since Nokia was bought by HMD.
i really doubt the hardware longevity is as bad as with lenovo
*slap an eaten apple logo on it*
there you go, now gimme money
>hating [shit brand 1] means you love [shit brand 2]
Back to IQfy, vermin.
>t. poorgay chudcel.
just isn't the same without windows mobile
Android jost wurks
android has a janky ui, windows phone had responsive and fluid ui for the even the bottom-ier lumia 520
>but mine is just fine
until the inevitable system update that slows down the performance by design, then you feel it's a good excuse to throw money at new hardware and hyperfixate on that so much that you completely forget that your older phone was perfectly fine only until the last system update, just like the one before that, and the one before that
I've installed all system updates on my phone (it's unsupported since last year after 3 years of updates) and it feels like brand new- smooth, definitely not janky.
phone model?
S20 FE. It cost me 500 American shekels like this HMD Skyline will supposedly cost.
i don't believe you
That's because you can't cope with the truth, iToddler.
Without having the apps in memory, open the camera app, take 3 pictures in quick succession, go home and open your texting app. See how long that takes. Upload a gif or video if you have the stones.
>Without having the apps in memory, open the camera app, take 3 pictures in quick succession, go home and open your texting app. See how long that takes.
Why stop there? You should also ask me to open asiaticshin Chinkpact and measure the frame rates.
>Upload a gif or video
I'm not into datamining requests.
>Gotcha
Sure buddy.
If you distrust system updates, why are you an iToddler? Apple was caught slowing down iPhones through system updates. It even got sued and lost.
>Why stop there?
because it's sufficient to demonstrate slow performance
>I'm not into datamining requests.
mine what data
>If you distrust system updates, why are you an iToddler?
i hate both android and iphone
i'm using a hand-me-down iphone 6 with the latest system update and it's slow but at least the ui is still fluid
>mine what data
My data- desktop layout, wallpaper, installed apps, etc.
>i hate both android and iphone
Meh.. they're just phones. If your iPhone does what you need it to do, you don't need to hate it. Having said that, if you go to a store and play with a flagship or even midrange Android phone, you'll be pleasantly surprised 🙂
>data
you can temporarily move the app icons to a new home screen page and use stock or plain wallpaper
>android phone
next to my iphone 6 i'm using a secondary nokia c300 for various other tasks. i haven't updated it and it runs decent but i'm also concerned about not having security updates.
i used a galaxy s2 with the latest lineage os up to 2021. it's slow and battery life is worse than stock because of the official android it's based on.
nokia had a reputation for reliability and hmd global seems to live up to that
Of course you wouldn't. I bet you won't even touch an android phone to experience what it's like for an ancient hardware to run suddenly fast after glowie trash gets purged off it.
t. used a Galaxy Note 3 up to 2022 as secondary phone
Why didn't HMD do this when they had the license for the Nokia brand name?
This.
Nokia wasn't bought by HMD, they just gave them the license for phones, like Blackberry did to TCL.
>Why didn't HMD do this when they had the license for the Nokia brand name?
You should ask Stephen Elop
Windows Mobile is what came before Windows Phone.
that looks cool i wish my linux mint looked like that
>curved display
>non curved body
It's just an android shell, I usually buy the cheapest and move on
Who is this phone for?
It's for people who hate
>mutt phones
>chink phones
>samshit phones
> 6.67"
trash
>6.67"
It is what it is. But even if there were small phones, they always have bad battery life so I'd still choose big phones.
I thought they were removing the nokia brand.
Updoot support no different from my X6 Pro which will get up to Android 17 as well.
They did. It's HMD Skyline but nostalgia aboosers just put "Nokia 920 Lookalike" in the title.
I would never buy these phones, I want an phone running AOSP spins without GMS.
Nokia is one of the worst companies when it comes to phone freedom.
https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-13-amogus-aosp-13-0.4483745/
I've never had a 920 but I disliked the body of the 925 which is quite similar.
It's just uncomfortable to hold.
>It's just uncomfortable to hold.
Why? Were the the corners too sharp? Did they dig into the palm of your hand despite the 925's small size?
It will be just another Android device that, as usual, only shows information and reviews aimed at Indians when you search for it... No European buys it and Nothing Phone proved it...
I miss windows phones
>go*gle proprietary and*oid
into the trash it goes. I rather stick with iOS than so called abomination called andr*id pajeet OS
>itoddler dosen't know that android is open-source and degoogled forks of it exists
>Nokia-Lumia-920-lookalike
Which itself was a Nokia N9 lookalike.
soul
Unironically the last phone with any soul. The death of the N9 marked the beginning of our current shit stagnated market.
They took Symbian OS from us then they took windows phone. We are stuck with the dichotomy of iOS and Android. And unfortunately the walled iPhone is a better complete product but I desire more freedom that custom Android installs can provide.
Symbian was dead man walking.
They gave up on MeeGo because they only gave it 5% of the workforce of Symbian while trying to move from Debian to RedHat at the same time the hardware platform (OMAP) was being discontinued and Qualcomm was too happy shipping locked binary blobs for Android to support anything else. And it took the old N9 core team developing libhybris to solve that particular issue. Texas Instruments leaving the mobile chip business was almost as responsible for the death of the N9 as Nokia.
To this day, the gestures on iOS and Android are absolutely moronic compared to what the N9 did.
But the N9 used the OS as an aggregator of information received by unencumbered pipes based on open standards, instead of the app silos, proprietary APIs and walled gardens VCs were funding to the tune of billions. Even Windows Phone started with the same idea and had to backtrack HARD.
>holes in the screen

soo.... totally normal in 2k24.
FIXED
rent free
Does it support GrapheneOS, SailfishOS or at least some proper Ungoogled Android?
>SailfishOS
Implying?
If Xperia 1 line of phones had first party SailfishOS support, I would buy the newest one this second.
No Zeiss Lens? That Means It's Fake.
Why do you gays here like nokia phones? In order to be edgy or something?
Third worlders
>pretending third worlders don't own iPhones too
>square phone
>rounded display
Why not both?
Uneven bezels
negligible
>over 6.5"
>mediocre spec
>chinkshit
No.
>chinkshit
Frick no. According to Wikipedia, HMD Global is a Finnish mobile phone manufacturer, thank goodness.
>hole in the screen
dropped
no symbian no buy
Why would anyone get this piece of shit when they can get a Xiaomi with a Snapdragon 8 gen 3 for under $400?
Because frick chinkshit
Motorola and Nokia make phones only for jeets now
Only NOKIA chads will recognize this
