The Kwantung Army was in no shape to fight the United States Marines, they were poorly equipped, poorly motivated, and most importantly, unsuited to island warfare. They would've gotten stranded in Manchuria thanks to the US Navy if nothing else.

If it weren't for the Chinese holding down millions of jap solders, the bulk of their army, the japs probably would have occupied Australia, invaded India, and maybe even invaded Siberia, leading to a collapse of the USSR.

The WAllies as a whole were responsible for about 50% counting POWs and the Americans were the vast majority of the WAllies. Budget allocation between fronts was also about 50/50 total; in 1943-1945 there was a 60/40 split specifically for the army but the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine were almost entirely in the west. Pic related.
Who cares? As long as it works. You would only have a point if copying doesn't pay off. Until now the Chinese military is untested, so let's wait and see.
