Also the amount of priceless historical artifacts actually lost during the war seem a lot more tragic than some sergeant nonchalantly wearing a crown which you can still see to this day in Vienna.

One is a symptom of the other.
Priceless historical artifacts do not wind up lost unless people take a nonchalant attitude towards them.

            Anonymous

Have you ever thought about how the main reason why you think that art should have been saved is that the nazis lost? Have you ever thought about how historically contingent your views and value-judgments are? Do you think you'd see that destroyed artwork the same way had you lived in a world where the nazis won, and institutions (and therefore also society) taught you to treat it the same way as your current world does, say, Arno Breker statues and Leni Riefenstahl movies? Hell, what's the difference between Jud Süß and the thousands of anti-nazi gorefests like Inglorious Bastards when you really think of it?

Whether any of these works I mentioned are good or bad is completely besides the question. The point is for you to realize how arbitrary everything about your view of the world is. Everything you think to be your opinion is second-hand knowledge you picked up because it aligned with what you thought you should like or dislike, which in itself was also second-hand "common sense" that you internalized either consciously or unconsciously.

"You" don't exist, you're an amalgamation of arbitrary historical currents.

How do you feel about the destruction of art by the Nazis?

            Anonymous

It was consistent with the logic of their view of the world. Trying to put them on blast for not conforming to the logic and values of external groups that were hostile to them (and through whose lens we are told about the whole thing) is pointless : acts derived from their own internal logic of course won't make sense to groups whose internal logic explicitly excludes their acts from making any sense.

Oh, so now subjective morality is valid and not israeli trickery?

            Anonymous

I don't consider ethics/morality to exist whatsoever. I have zero qualms about being dishonest about it, either, and asking others to define their views and hold themselves to standards while also thinking that I or my ingroup are not beheld to any standards so long as I (or we) can get away with it without repercussions. Morality and justice are just imaginary things people mass-hallucinate together because people in positions of power told them that they should, unsurprisingly in order for these powerful people to reinforce their positions in the hierarchy through the laws and common norms they establish in any given community.

This may sound extremely semitic to you, but I don't consider this method to be inherently bad (as I don't recognize such a thing existing), especially not when it is done to the advantage of my ingroup. It's just that I don't owe it to anyone to like it when it is used against me or my ingroup. I don't think most people you'd call "/pol/tards" inherently hate such underhanded tactics, either, they just resent being on the receiving end of it, and see the core of their conflict with its users in the irreconcilable conflicts of interest that their relationship with these people entails - it's just how things go when a normal group encounters another group with extremely aggressive evolutionary tactics. From their (the former's) perspective, you either match the latter group measure for measure, or you're fricked.

            >and through whose lens we are told about the whole thing
As if the likes of Babi Yar would come off better if only we listened to the Nazis (who did heavily influence the Western historiography of the Eastern Front).

Genocide and ethnic cleansing gets justified all the time in common discourse. Think of how you're supposed to clap for Haitian Black folks massacring practically every white person on the island back in 1804 because they were "oppressors" or whatever. Even if it is not completely said to be justified, there's usually an unspoken agreement that "they got what was coming to them".

But even then the edges of the crown would hang well over the sides of the king's skull, it would look silly. Medieval people were also significantly smaller, too, maybe not the well-fed kings, but still.

Did you know that in France, IMEDIATELY after conquering Paris, in september 1944, the illegitimate Allied-backed government of Charles Degaulle announced sweeping and new feminist laws? Completely changed the legal fabric of France forever. Women could now vote, own property, divorce, et al.

Why would this be of importance in the middle of a war? Because the All Lies were CONQUERING France, not liberating it. Three weeks mate... three weeks after capturing Paris they enacted this evil israeli feminist laws
