Since when did android give you smart processing of background pics so the clock wouldn't obscure the image?

      Anonymous

Since no time. As an Android user I'm genuinely impressed. Android won't even do this for you out of the box (battery hungry xiaomi themes of kwgt doesn't count).
To be fair it was long overdue for iOS cause they never allowed any sort of customisation on their phone since ages. Every iPhone would look the same. Whereas android always let you customise the home screen however you want and many more so they didn't feel the necessity to come with a shitton of lock screen customisations like iOS did

Apple has always been at the forefront of form over function, it looks cool sure, but why waste computational power on processing edges of objects in an image to obscure parts of a clock that I would rather see in full?

        Vanced ecosystem obviously.
        Kuroba-dev (or -ex for homos)
F-droid and the plethora of proper simplistic, ad-free FOSS apps like newpipe, twire, frost, etc
        Adult apps like hendroid
Cracked apps if you're really poor

iPhones have all the relevant apps on their store without having to sideload free unusable android trash.

        > Can't run custom roms and utilize root access without being tethered to some exploit that breaks out of your iphones "secure" sandbox. That is also tied to the below signing methods to sideload apps.
        > Can't sideload without using shady as frick Chinese certs or some janky signing service that uses your apple ID or outright piracy signing service like appdb
        > Can't do actual work on and you're just stuck running apps like the itoddler you are.

        > Borderline feature phone that you can just load apps on like my old rumor 2 from 2008 with some customization options.

Tell me how I as an android power user supposed to feel impressed by this apart from the customization options I can already gimp my phone with by default just using the Google play store?

Oh yeah and don't get me started on emulation as well. It's great being able to just buy emulators or pirate them or even download them for free from the playstore and just have a good time with real fricking games on your phone that aren't gimped by in app purchases and whatnot and don't track whatever the frick your doing on your phone.

Nintendo can cope and seethe at me all they want as they see me running Mario Kart Wii on my Pixel 4a under dolphin and not playing their shitty ass Mario Kart Tour that is just designed to be a gacha simulator first.

App store have everything a guy need. I trust Apple's quality check more than random curry Black person's trash software.

The update process is broken, I can't update to the alpha because apple a shit

    Because remember:
    >Sideloading means one machine installs machine code somewhere into another machine. A cracked app store is not sideloading. That's being called "installing software" in the tech jargon, not "sideloading".
    >Alpha software is new and has features that go away or get added (0.Xa naming scheme, e.g. 0.4a)
    >Beta software has all the features as the finished product but might be buggy and in development (0.Xb naming scheme, e.g. 0.9b)
Release Candidate (RC with RC 1 and RC 2 naming scheme) is the finished product in testing, and then comes stable
