I haven't felt real human intimacy for eight years. Hook ups or porn don't do anything for me anymore.

            Anonymous

Quitting porn is more difficult than quitting cigarettes and in my opinion more harmful. Don't do it by yourself, you need an accountability system. Stop beating it to unrealistic sex scenarios, stop hooking up and using women as a fleshlight, and engage in physical activity. Everyday is a new day and it's alright to occasionally fail.

I work. I have also never touched an MS office file at my job, using my personal computer. The company pays for MS office and we use computers provided by them. Our personal computers just need to run zoom.

You clearly dont actually have to collaborate on office documents. It's hell having to send Word documents back and forth each time a modification or addition has to be made. Using different software makes it even worse. If your collaborators/boss/professor uses microsoft office on windows, it's just easier to do the same.

It's clearly not as good as MS despite some nice functions like scripting / macro possibilities, or the Base software tat is way more simple than Access.

I don't need MS Office for everyday life,
That would be stupid. Editing that old Word file or filling that form can be done with Libreoffice.
But then again other software are simpler to use and dont hurt your eyes, like OnlyOffice or all the Javascript shit.

Damn Germans, thanks anon for opening my eyes. I'll be more careful from now on. Do you know how I can remove SAP from my HR department?

The USA. Sure, we do import a lot of indians, but, you know, they're a cheap labor to do jobs that can be automated but it's way cheaper to pay 10 indians to do such jobs than paying a Russian to automate it. And I am sure Europeans do the same.

I only started using it recently for simple spreadsheets. Works pretty good for my non-professional needs. If I need something more advanced I'll just write something in python instead.

I don't need the full MS office suite for what I'm doing on my own machines, and I don't wanna give all my data to google to have in their cloud.

On my work machine I just use whatever my company pays for, so googles office suite. I only keep work stuff on that machine anyway.

The only thing I've ever needed to customize is using Ctrl+Enter instead of F2 to directly edit a cell's contents in Calc.
Otherwise, I once made templates for letters, if you want to call that customization.
Other than that, it works out of the box. I occasionally had some crashes in early 6.x versions in Calc when spreadsheets were formula-intense, but that seems to have been alleviated in more recent versions.
Never touched MS Office since a decade. I hear cloud integration's become a thing, but since I'm not moronic and can organize my files, this doesn't phase me.

It's a shitty "alternative" program that only exists to try and get you not to use the proprietary "default" or "standard" program.

Linux is full of these. In fact, the default desktop environment every linux OS shoves down your throat was only created because a superior desktop with more features and a professional grade workflow was considered proprietary by the GNU/Marxists.
