Nature isn't perfect and things that aren't perfect often look more natural.

If we have the ability to make something perfect, why not do it? Nature isn't perfect but we constantly want to move it towards that goal. Imagine losing a close person in a plane crash and the airline company be like nature isn't perfect bruh

it actually does, the ubuntu and macos cursor is perfectly aligned and dear god it looks exponentially better, ironically more natural than the windows cursor

it's an optical illusion. sometimes unnoticeable imperfection looks better to the eye.

The original's edge connects to the middle instead of the border between yellow and green.
Both of them are geometric but in different ways, that image is moronic

it's like with letter spacing and some graphic design stuff, visual perception stuff magic that doesn't "make sense" if you don't look at the big picture

It needs to be tilted because it's a right hand. The whole reason arrows work in the first place, cuz they look like arms and hands

Could you make the cursor so huge that the arm always goes off-screen?

Because companies like Microsoft have been suing over details like cursors since the 80's.

If you write an app that uses the system cursor, you're okay.

Make your own, and it looks close to the Windows cursor, you may get an angry letter from MS's legal department.

And yes, it happens. MS spent all of the 80's and 90's trying to lock down keyboard shortcuts, and sued over them.

A mouse pointer can be whatever you want. You obviously think there's some rule to it, but there isn't. Your opinions don't matter.
