Why would you ever browse the internet on your phone unless you are away from home without access to your computer?

I promise you that you don't have a solution. The only thing that even tries to solve the problem is this piece of shit that doesn't work properly half the time.

maybe the Web bookmarks have absolutely nothing to do with a specific web browser, but people are used to the bloatware

.URL files introduced with the Microsoft Internet Explorer, managed via file-system directories are the most UNIX Suckless solution

so it turns out you can "sync" your big throbbing bookmarks collection with git and specify the default handler for them in the mimeapps.list

I use a flash drive, takes less than a minute to sync.

im more interested in something to sync on my internal network than my phone. but even then I dont see the problem. it's the internet, its not safe by default, and the phone already compromises me. just posting on this website is a bad idea with the cloud israelite constantly watching.

          >B-but then why use librewolf
because I dont want to use marketed bullshit and feed these buttholes data. just because they can spy on me doesn't mean they can then turn around and sell it. otherwise google wouoldn't even market and have clauses to steal data, it's already legal for the government to steal all of it. what is the point of creating alphabet, a government backed and funded global corporation to steal the worlds privacy away and sell it if they already did that with the patriot act. It's to make it legal and obvious theyre doing so. it's so that when alexa offers them a soda after they just bought one at the store 5 minutes ago they can't immediately point to NSA and the government poisoning them and undermine the socialist movement in america.

It wouldn't be that hard to do so in a number of ways... But yes, phones suck.

  18. 2 weeks ago

So many ways to do this. I think normies just use imessage or Whatsapp synced to pc right? Send to yourself etc. Wireless remote phone apps, maybe brave sync, could easily set up some custom thing i bet with some triggering system. Anyone knows how to do it with the push of like 5 buttons instead of 1

Only non jenk perfect solution would just be botnet fully connected everything but most people don't want that

I haven't used it in years and I forget exactly how it works and don't remember how well it works and if it did work well idk if it still works well but I used to use Pushbullet for stuff like this

i just looked it up I guess they don't have an iPhone app and idk if it's even still in active development...

anyway what i use now for this is just the "Saved Messages" chat within Telegram, it's basically just sending messages to yourself. you can use it to send links or files or whatever and then you can always come back to any of those things later if you need like it stores chat history forever

There are enough ways to do this kind of thing that this thread in 2024 feels like a pointless whine. Do you feel lonely this morning and need to talk?

It's a serious problem and it should be complete seamless. You should be able to open whatever app on your phone instantly on your desktop with zero delay and carry on not even needing to plug in anything. Just default cast to desktop for every single app on your phone no matter what. The fact that this doesn't exist is just further proof that devs today are completely awful and worthless.

How is it a serious problem and why do you believe this is something you “should” be able to do?
