Just got home from work so forgive the ID change, but I plan to live out of my van and travel the entire continental United States. I figure I'll do that for 5-10 years, and by then I'll have either found a new thing to do or died of exposure.
I'm 35, I'm not getting any younger, so I might as well go live for a bit if I'm going to die either way.
I don't have much of a "withdrawal plan" but I've never withdrawn all that much in a year, so I don't intend to change that. I won't have an income but I won't have any of the standard bills/expenditures, and I'll be homeless so I won't have much in the way of expectations from society either. it will be a simple life.

No I mean from the government. I more or less plan to be rounding error on their books, so they should leave me alone for the most part. Due to the "being homeless is the plan," if they put me in jail for something (like missing taxes) it'll just mean I have a roof for whatever period of time.

Sure, especially when media and internet makes it look like rich people are everywhere and having a great time. That isn't real life. If you've got your health and some nice people around you and get to eat good food every once in a while and go hiking and be nowhere near blacks, you have already made it compared to a lot of other people out there. Think about being in India. It smells and is hot and there are no white women anywhere. I no longer calculate making it as being rich. Making it in 2024 is being able to buy a cool modular mini home and plunk it down on some land in the PNW away from blacks and having enough investment income to eat and play vidya. And maybe have a girl come join you and you can plant a garden together. That's all I've ever truly wanted. You can probably do that for a little over a million bucks.
