shiva is a badass and a good role model for any child of God but all children of God should hail as King the Christ who is the son of God.
The Bhakti movement and its consequences have been a disaster for Hindu religion and society. As a perennialist I have great respect for Advaita Vedanta but in actual conversation I align myself with Buddhism because people have a better idea of that than Vedanta. When most people think of Hinduism as a religion they think of ignorant clowns like OP’s pic or other Vaishnava/Bhakti schools, and I want nothing to do with them. Advaita Vedanta is the only respectable school of “Hinduism”, but it never caught on with the masses who would rather adopt the religions of their colonizers before Vedanta.
