I’m getting older. I’ve already done things in life. I’ve already traveled.

The imaginary world isn’t just a replacement for the real world….the imaginary world can exceed the real world. My advice would be to only cross this bridge once you’ve become tired and disillusioned with the real world. And I kind of feel like you have to first experience the real world.
You can’t prefer masturbation until you’ve had sex. You can’t dislike travel until you’ve been around. You can’t dislike the pursuit of money until you’ve become dissatisfied about what it does.
Once you cross the bridge it’s glorious. You stop caring about what other people care about. You become immersed in a different time or place with different people almost to becoming a participant in their world. Your world becomes isolated/sheltered from others. For me at least it’s lead to a better level of happiness. I suggest watching some videos of Gerald Murnane…and really think about how powerful and life affirming the internal world can be.
