It's mostly 3 dragons and an army of Unsullied. And before Drogo died it was mostly the fact a lot of lords could go over to Viserys/Dany, considering they're the last Targaryen and have a large army. and also maybe it's just a little bit of good ol goofy silliness on Martin's part
Too arrogant to realize that his children were more important to his family legacy than political gains. If he wasn't such a horrible father he would have won.
He was soft and weak, his vassals didn't respect him and practically laughed in his face. He also kept a (commoner iirc) mistress after his wife's death who was kinda impudent, or that's how Tywin perceived her at least.

What the frick is his problem
There's also a possibility Tyrion isn't really his son, but a product of Aerys raping Tywin's wife. Although that would kinda ruin their relationship and the father/son theme and also give us yet ANOTHER secret Targaryen. I guess we'll see no we won't.
I don't plan on reading the books .. but... Tywin was pretty stupid for not recognizing Tyrion as his more capable son, at the very least he should have bequeathed him the family keep on the old gold mine, since nobody was going to use it anyway.
Tywin does contradict himself from what he says in the first episode about (whatshisname other son) caring what people think of him. Doesn't make sense for his character to go ahead and "care what people think of him" in the same way by not wanting a dwarf to be the liege lord of provincial gold mine prima.
Still why am I even commenting. stupid books.

He does recognise Tyrion as more capable, that's why he makes him hand of the king. The problem is that Tyrion is also his source of frustration, grief, and shame.

This is a distinction that often filters midwits but there's two different kinds of "caring about what people think". The first kind is taking it personal and letting what people think of you get to you and have an impact on your sense of your own identity. The second kind is just understanding the objective reality that your social standing and how other human beings regard you has a dramatic impact on your life, which is simply a fact regardless of how you feel about it.
The show even goes out of its way to clarify this by having Jaime reproach Tywin for contradicting himself and then having Twyin clarify this, yet it still managed to confuse you.
Also Tywin did recognize Tyrion's cunning and put him in charge of things. He was overly mean to Tyrion though, and gave Tyrion little reason to love him which was the real mistake.

Even if you failed to understand Tywin's point you should still be capable of comprehending the notion that a character can be a hypocrite.
So you're basically moronic on two levels, very unfortunate.
he was a hypocrite who accused others of being lustful idiots while he himself slept with prostitutes secretly
also ASOIAF stopped being good after his death
>Provides 25 years of prosperity as the Hand of the King
What the frick is everyone else's problem?
>unarmoured horsemen with curved slashing swords are considered a threat to armies with at the bare minimum fully mailed soldiers
>Huuuuur! I point out unrealalistic things in a story about zombies, dragons, giant sea monsters and fire proof magic blondes. I so clever
homosexual
You know what the difference is. Stop pretending you don‘t know what the difference is.

If anything goes, then why not include pixies driving tanks and sentient antelopes with machine guns?

The Dothraki should have been horse archers who absolutely would have BTFO'd heavy infantry.
Pride
Greed
Wrath
Ambition

Wife died. Regret.
>dad was a b***h
>wife died
>bff went crazy
>kids are a constant disappointment
I'd be pretty pissed too
he is prevented from going to the toilet by his armor casing.
He was embarrassed as a child by his pussy father.
Then he married his cousin but got regularly cucked by the mad king.
what did his father do?
