Unless I'm misunderstanding DeArrow - isn't it counterproductive? It replaces clickbait titles by better ones, increasing the likelihood a person like me (who would otherwise outright discard the clickbait video) clicks the video.

You say that as if videos with clickbait titles and thumbnails are "innocent victims" of youtube's homosexualry but it is the uploaders who do it and quite often to draw viewers to low-quality content that doesn't deserve views at all. It's sad when quality content gets that, but there is more than enough rubbish to warrant not messing with clickbait-styled vids. Basically, if it looks like clickbait, just ignore it, that's the simplest strategy. Much like not responding to the scam bots in every video's comments sections and staying out of shady websites.
Some small amount of good content will get passed up, but that's not your fault or mine, buddy.
Some videos with clickbait titles are still worth watching. The point of the extension is to help you better decipher if the video is something worth watching or not by accurately portraying its contents.

I don't even use the site anymore, just a program that pulls the video for me that then applies sponsorblock and dearrow. No comments, no bullshit dealing with the moronic slowness of YT, no screwgle tracking every video watched.
