advertisers are descendants of the snake, of satan himself. their power is to deceive, lie and trick. they've used this power cautiously and carefully, to trick society into the first lie - thinking that being tricked by them is actually good for everyone. this lie has let them run roughshod over the rest of society all this time.
in no version of christianity will you be punished for denying satan purchase upon your life.

As a Christian you are to render unto Caesar that what belongs to Caesar and render unto God that what belongs to God. You may not agree with the laws of the land, but you follow them so long as they don't conflict with God's teachings. That is what makes piracy and thus ad-blocking a sin.

            Anonymous

shallow interpretation. acts 5:40–42 has the apostles beaten for preaching the word of god in opposition to the laws of the land. they did not challenge the authority of the local authorities, as god had instructed - they voluntarily accepted their punishment. but, the laws of god supercede the laws of man, so they rightfully persisted in their crime despite this.
if adblocking WERE a crime, it would be morally, ethically, and spiritually right to deny the snake purchase on your life by denying advertisers their presence in your mind and spirit, even if it brought you legal consequences. and if it did, you're bound to accept them.

This definition literally proves OP right. Watching their content without ads by modifying their software = unauthorised.

Here's a little thought experiment to explain why you're wrong: let's say you download an app for a store, and you hack it so you can buy things for free by just blocking certain http requests. Sounds familiar?

Legally speaking, this is correct. Morally speaking, blocking ads is good. Serving ads is inherently immoral and should be forbidden under severe punishment, as it is a subtle brainwashing attempt an thus infringes my most basic human right of exerting control ovor my body.

Does it say anywhere that a real person has to spend the exact running time of the ad watching the ad? Instead of that my adblocker's script has seen the ad in 0.01 seconds, identified it as an ad which proves that it actually looked at it and deemed it as seen so I don't have to watch it myself. Double watching ads would be pirating too as the advertiser would get 2 views for the price of one.

Tl;dr if adblocker script watches the ads for me, I don't have to watch them myself. Nowhere does it say that ads should be watched by real human beings.

Am I not allowed to make a copy of a table I bought for a friend? Anyone who b***hes is expecting to be filthy rich for working in a field that contributes absolutely fricking nothing to society.

Likewise for ads. You paid to host some data on the internet, and now you want to receive money while you kick back and do nothing? Sorry, I think you meant to go into stock trading. If that data was worth money then people would pay just to see it.

If your method of monetization makes is unacceptable I will work around it if possible. I expect online video content to be free, especially when it's cheap "entertainment" and shilling like what so called "influencers" like LMG creates.

I'm actually considering paying for Nebula because so many good creators are on there and create actually high quality stuff there and it's a many for the price of one type of deal too, unlike patreon.

Monetization requires incentive, "just watch the shitty ads" is not an incentive. DRM is not an incentive. Gambling on whether an album, movie, game, book etc is any good is not a good incentive. This is why streaming, legal or otherwise became popular, easy, risk free, no bullshit access to content.

You are stealing money from him specifically and he really needs the money.

Doesn't he put ads in his own videos? The sponsored by section?

I'm pretty sure I'm just blocking an advertisement. I'm not taking money from anyone, I'm not a Black person.

i would steal food right off that homosexual's table if i could do it by clicking buttons on my computer, so it's gonna be pretty damn hard to convince me to feel bad for blocking his ads and sponsor segments on the off chance i do accidentally load a page with his trash on it
