After being a Windows/Linux user over the past 20 years, I recently bought a M1 MacBook Air.
This computer is literally the fastest and least janky laptop I've ever used. The screen is wonderful. It barely even gets warm. Battery lasts a shockingly long time.
Are we just idiots that didn't give the Mac a chance? I wouldn't use this thing to game, but it really beats the crap out of my P51 Thinkpad and every single laptop I have owned.
Some minor annoyances with MacOS but nothing that I couldn't work around.

the M chips are solid, every mac before that was dogshit, overheating, shit battery, battery swelling, shit build quality. Ive got an M1 myself and love it. Not getting rid of my Thinkpad though, still use it for linux and desktop for gaymin
I just bought an M3 MacBook Pro, and it's easily the most efficient machine I've ever used. The OS is incredibly consistent, never hitches, doesn't get in my way. The trackpad is by far the best trackpad I've ever used.
I love Mac and MacOS now.

i think IQfy's problem with macs is that apple really doesn't want you to customize the machine, and they go out of their way to make it harder for you to customize.
How do you all have such good experiences with Macs? When I had a MBP it had a kernel panic every other week. I also wanted to break it over my knee every time I reached for the escape key and my finger hit that fricking meme bar. Everyone I know has bent screen corners so the fricking things never close.
