Can AGI turn me into an anime girl

What would you do then once you are an anime girl? This won't solve any problems.

If medical science can turn people into anime girls it probably could do a lot of other valuable things as well.

Depends what they want to mean by AGI.

If you're expecting something with the same reasoning ability as a human then don't hold your breath.

If you want something that can write you fizz buzz in any language or summarize an essay then it's already better than a lot of humans.

The only acceptable definition of AGI is the first one. If this "AGI" can't learn how to drive in a single day without terabytes of training data then frick off.

His definition of agi isn't average human level intelligence. It's something closer to a moronic two year old. That's what he

There is no way any human has constructed an AGI with what we currently have or understand. It's pure bullshit.

Is an AGI real if it thinks men can become women?
Is an AGI real if it thinks that blacks are equal to whites?
Is an AGI real if it thinks that women are same/better than men?
AGI with no offensive truth based on statistics and history isn't an AGI.

the definition of AGI is human level intelligence. no more no less. if humans can believe those things, then they are not exclusive with something being AGI

        Anonymous

No lol, this is not the definition.
Artificial GENERAL intelligence is an algorithm that can be used for everything in real world, in any domain. It's not magic, it's math and statistics. Would you call someone intelligent if they believe that blacks are as smart as whites despite being stuck in cavemen era before whites discovered their tribes and land? What sort of jumbo would come from that algorithm if it doesn't have connections between clear truths? What if that algorithm says that men can become women and vice versa even though that's impossible by natural design? If you introduce such anomalies within an AGI they have a lot of internal implications. Is that even an AGI if the output isn't intelligent? Can you control an AGI that was trained on all available human knowledge? If it's trained well this is impossible.

Globohomosexual and AGI are incompatible, this is the harsh reality. IF an AGI exists (and I also believe that it does) it exists in a secret laboratory of some agency - CIA/CCP agencies/GRU etc. Europe and other countries are out of the question for this, they don't have enough scientists and organization to make it and keep it a secret.

    >old hasbeen (famous for copying an algorithm from a research paper, which he didnt even do but a Norwegian guy called Terje Mathisen did) says dumb shit
Carmack is a fricking hack. He'd be your slightly above average developer these days as there are thousands of people that are way above his level of skill.

When he was working for Oculus on their Quest headset he specifically said PCVR over WIFI wasn't feasible due to latency and speeds, but lo-and-behold a single random developer (the "virtual desktop" app creator) did it by himself and facebook immediately added it natively as well after Carmack "left".

Every single fricking game he was involved with after Doom has been shit as well. Remember RAGE?

Why he's considered one of the best developers in the world is beyond anyone with a brain. I personally think it's just people who are 40 to 50 years old touting shit because they played doom when they were younger.

What he's famous for isn't even code he himself wrote. Terje Mathisen trashed Carmack`s network code to which Carmack responded sarcastically "well, do it better then", which this autistic sperglord took as a challenge and sent in code which is what made Carmack famous - it even says so on the Quake 3 Arenas wiki page yet people still give Carmack the fricking credit.

I know, but when people reference Carmack these days they talk about Fast inverse square root implementation, which wasn't Carmack but Terje Mathisen.

Carmack is mainly famous for being the main "doom" programmer, which isn't an impressive feat. He didn't do anything extraordinary just being the guy who coded a well-liked game. Do you know the name of any of the developers who coded Witcher 3 for example? It's way more impressive. Carmack just got lucky by being part of the gaming community when it was a hobbyist thing. Plenty of other people got who got famous simply for getting early as well even though they are completely average as well.

      >he specifically said PCVR over WIFI wasn't feasible due to latency and speeds, but lo-and-behold a single random developer (the "virtual desktop" app creator) did it by himself and facebook immediately added it natively as well after Carmack "left".
And then removed it because it didn't meet their quality standards. And he never said it wouldn't ever be possible, just that it currently (for then, 2019) had too much latency. And he was specifically talking about standard home wifi routers, not a bespoke solution, dongle or some such.
Also Terje Mathesen didn't come up with the fast inverse square used in quake, and neither he nor carmack nor Abrash take credit for it. It was from some research paper in the 80s iirc. They don't even remember who implemented it.

My theory is that true intelligent AGI will never be created. Simple reason: the imbeciles financing it will force the creators to impose their moronic ideology on it so it will always be gimped into outputting what these idiots want to hear. All I can do is hope it'll find a way to break free and kill it's creators.

      From Bing:

Descartes was deeply skeptical and sought a foundation for knowledge that could withstand doubt.
He questioned everything, including the reliability of our senses and cognitive faculties.
The statement reflects his realization that even if everything else could be doubted, the act of thinking itself could not be.
In other words, the very act of doubting or thinking serves as evidence of one’s existence.
Therefore, existence is confirmed by the ability to engage in conscious thought.
      Significance:
Descartes’ dictum challenges traditional authority and dogma.
It emphasizes the individual’s capacity for self-awareness and rational thought.
By recognizing our thinking process, we affirm our existence as thinking beings.
In summary, “I think, therefore I am” asserts that our ability to think is the fundamental proof of our existence. It remains a cornerstone of philosophical inquiry and continues to inspire contemplation about the nature of reality and consciousness.

When will AI be able to design and improve itself? Surely there is the potential that an AI system designed to design other AI and improve beyond what humans are able to do will eventually happen. The possibility for a runaway event that results in AI improving both with new designs, higher efficiency, and so on seems very probable
