I'm tired of this anti-Apple horseshit

What do anti-vaxxers, flat earthers, 9/11 truthers, and anti-Apple activism all have in common? All of them are characterized by a blithe rejection of facts to embrace a narrative of victimization by a vague authority. In the case of Apple, the “vague authority” are a bunch of volunteers who have devoted tens of thousands of hours of their free time towards making free shit for you. “Apple sucks!” is a conspiracy theory with no basis in truth, and its supporters have spent years harassing Apple employees, developers, and users. And it’s time for it to fricking stop.

Apple works for almost everyone, and works for more people than is even possible with Linux. Most of the lies you’ve heard about ways that it’s cucked are just that: lies. And if you insist on living in that fantasy, then keep it to yourself, butthole.

You can turn off adaptive battery and that feature is about having more screen time per charge, not battery health. Evey CPU throttles , when hits it's thermal limit. Apple throttled to conceal the fact of battery degradation from user. I can't comprehend how these things would equal in one's mind. False equivalence. Straw-man.

Where in the Evo specification is stated, that laptop should have only two ports at all for charging and expansion. I'll wait for a source. Also Huawei MateBook 14 has a lot of ports for its size. My argument was about having single usable usb-c port to do all the expansion. It has nothing to do notebook having single USB-c port , when It has plethora of other ports , including ones dedicated to charging and display output. You once again chose straw-man and misdirection instead of an answer.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

If apple 8gb = windows 16 gb, but you have to spend 200 dollars for to get 16 instead of 8, you are speding 400 dollars for ram. For Laptop memory, you can get 128gb of ram for 400 dollars.

128 > 8gb (or 16gb if you want to imagine its is because you're gullible from marketing)

therefore windows ram is more efficient.

It's not a mitigation it's an advantage. Apple uses extremely fast SSDs which means that they can use free space on the SSD like slightly slower RAM. So they have 8 or 16 GB of RAM for the things that need to be accessed immediately but everything else just uses the SSD like RAM, which is basically unlimited.

Actually it makes perfect sense that it's not mentioned. Most, if not all posters of Orange Reddit use MacBooks and have a great opinion on Apple, the "Think different" company. A lot of them pretend this is not the case, that they are intelligent beings not attached to a brand, but reality differs. As a quick example, the Ruby on Rails creator admitted that he was an Apple shill and just very recently he stopped doing it. He is the kind of person that is active in HN.
Going back to the point: anything that contradicts this made up version of their reality will not gain traction in HN, including the 8gb vs 16gb debacle, because that is the perfect opportunity to confront their shilling as blind brand loyalty, but they don't want to, and it would be dumb to defend Apple here, so they just ignore the issue.
