The Germans, unlike the French in 1815 and 1870 were never buck broken. After both wars they were given a very lenient slap on the wrist followed by massive direct or indirect american support.

You don't understand it. East Germans don't have some unique Bashkir Y-DNA. They have similar proportions of Western Y-DNA to Bashkirs.

Yes. The study also compared other Russian minorities, including the ones with actual East Asian haplogroups. There's no affinity between them and East Germans. Only with Bashkirs who on average derive 70-80% of their Y-DNA from Europeans.
