That anon who used to post in the poetry thread seems to be doing all right. Otherwise lit doesn't write.
To be honest I'm just too lazy to check their website on a regular basis. But I do like the idea of social media that discourages the type of schizo posting you get on chan's and Twitter. Sometimes it feels like Reddit without the extreme censorship. Most people on here will look down on it for that reason.
From what I've seen Substack is just Wattpad for pseuds. Correct me if I'm wrong but I still have no interest in it like most other internet related writing websites/apps.
if you are coming at it from the prospective that all internet writing is all shit are you are going to concentrate on the eternal verities or whatever then sure.
To be fair I've read some interesting things on there. There's a Catholic (I think) professor from southern US who writes about technology and society, and his writing is very nuanced and references a bunch of interesting writers and philosophers.

I managed to 10 paid subscribers before bowing out. The best thing about Substack is the people feel comfortable paying you on there. But no reason you couldn't do the same with a regular website.
I haven't shilled an article on IQfy in a minute but I'm still around. Real life slowed down my output but a new one coming this week and 2 more 90% ready to go. I accept guest posts/cross promo if it's a good fit so don't he shy.
Honestly, I watched a YT video about the importance of identifying minimal viable product (I think jREG). I identified short stories as mine, and wanted to get something up on some platform ASAP even it meant a blog post style thing, so I uploaded that to Substack.
Realistically speaking, I don't think many people from IQfy will make much if any money on Substack.
However, having read about Lovecraft and the network of amateur journalism with which he was affiliated, I think the platform does provide a means by which IQfy anons could develop an informal network of writers who are interested in different topics and who could, ideally, at least provide feedback to one another and promote written pieces they find interesting.
Adding to this, I also believe that instead of a IQfy magazine (many have come and gone, as we know) we could instead have a IQfy Substack to which various people could contribute. Any attention this Substack achieves could then serve to direct readers to the other substacks written by those contributors.
Like it or not, IQfy does have a kind of edgy appeal among non-IQfy browsers, considering the influence of IQfy in general on wider societal and cultural trends, memes and so on. By establishing a centralised IQfy substack it would in a sense bring the work of anons here to a wider audience and highlight the fact that some people here genuinely do possess the ability to write interesting and meaningful literary works (essays, short stories, poems).
Yeah, i also suck wiener for a living
Yes, I consider sucking wiener a calling

Nice, subbed but...
>he has a "I have not post today" post
What drives men to such madness? I see this on substack all the time

Will give these a read.
everyone on substack posts to like 25 people, 10 of which are his relatives.
Does that actually make money? Is that our OnlyFans, IQfy?
