this. most women find bald men disgusting whether they admit or not.

i completely lost all female attention once my hair loss got to the point that I had to shave it all off.

wouldn't that pattern be the opposite?
    >Are single males more prone to balding than coupled ones?
yes but only because baldies (and low genetic quality men who are going to be baldies in the future) don't have gfs/wives to begin with

Why are people so judgmental about hair? I don't get it. Yes, I'm bald, so feel free to insult. I just want an explanation for why girls value hair so much.

Looking like a thumb isn't good. Don't grow a beard if you can't grow a good one because that just makes you look sickly. But for those that can grow a good one, it signals that you're not bald due to sickness.

Straight up: women don't care if you're bald. They care if you're short, and it just so happens that baldness and shortness are very strongly correlated. Women, being the morons they are, associate baldness with an unattractive trait even though it's really shortness they're unattracted to. Easy way to test this: show them a 6'3" bald guy vs a 5'2" guy with hair, and see who she chooses. Rephrased: women have no issues dating a tall bald guy.

I'd add that women also don't care about a bald man who just shaves off the part of the scalp that isn't growing, and gets IQfy.
Women notice combovers on middle-aged men with paunches, and associate that with insecurity and laziness, which it is.

          >I get its attractive, but you don't seem to understand what you're saying. Height and muscles are attractive to women because such men are big and strong and capable of protecting her from threats. I can't find any analogous argument for hair.
most white men look ugly as frick without hair.

you're basically trying to argue that women don't care if a guy is ugly.

no because its not true but people dont want the responisibility to take care of themselves and not live like shit.

it's a genetic feature that is clearly phenotypically expressed, so sexual selection is bound to pick up on it one way or another.

The gold standard for treating male pattern baldness is with a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor such as finasteride or dutasteride. This lowers DHT levels significantly and the reason it works is because balding men are genetically predisposed to having hair follicles that are sensitive to DHT.

those don't stop male hairloss from progressing like finasteride does moron

Some new antiandrogen topical that begins with a p should be getting FDA approval within the next 2 or 3 years. It's supposed to be a lot more effective than both finasteride and dutasteride without side-effects. The problem is it won't do much if you have advanced balding where the hair follicles are dead.

For advanced cases, Stemson Therapeutics is working on hair cloning. There have been other startups that have attempted hair cloning before, but Stemson is the first to receive tens of millions of dollars in investments.

So the meta for now should be to maintain your current hair as best as you can until the antiandrogen topical comes out? And if you failed to do that then hair cloning and then the topical?

Im gay and I started balding at 17. It didn't help that my boyfriend died in junior year. I was dropping hair like i was a B-52 carpet bombing Vietnam. I had to use Rogain to cover my bald before I graduated highschool. Im 30 and i still got a little hair, albiet very wispy and thin. Yet it is more hair than my dad had at my age so I guess it slowed down.
