I was in the army and fired rifles many times, albeit not at people. I’m not obsessed with warfare for abstract reasons but because of the effects which wars have on the economy and what logistical implications are in modern war

Pdf is clean and simple. I know this is bait but epub obviously is not that bad. The "weirdness and all over the place" text is like that because you get the ability to customize the format while also taking up less storage space. pdf book = 56mb, epub book = ~1.2mb.
This matters when you stack thousands of books into a drive.
also gl converting a pdf to something an ereader can read. Epub fricks it up sometimes but can fiddle with the conversion tools to make it better. Pdf straight cant, some programs say they can but more then like 75% it turns it into a black splotched mess
>This. Reading pdf on e-reader or phone is a torture.
I use PDF reader.
It's better than actually carrying a physical copy at work and getting bullied for it.
Not exactly like Clausewitz in the sense of being a Hegelian assessment of war in its totality, but some stuff I have enjoyed recently:
Sir Julian Corbett, Some Principles of Maritime Strategy >pub. 1911, Clausewitz for the navy. Explicitly Clausewitzian but shifting to the naval domain. Very subtly Hegelian.
Mao Tse-Tung, On Guerilla Warfare >Well he won that war, didn't he?
David Kilcullen, The Accidental Guerilla, Counterinsurgency, Down from the Mountains >Australian light colonel writes trilogy about how war in Afghanistan was never gonna work.
Deleuze and Guattari, Nomadology: The War Machine >Chapter of A Thousand Plateaus published standalone. Frenchman and Italianman talk about how war is about moving through space. Influential on Israeli military
The Guide to Crumping by Sir Duncan Crumb (His Lordship)
Why are dweebs who would flinch if they ever fired a rifle obsessed with warfare?

I auto convert everything to mobi
There aren't and never will be because strategy no longer exists. It's all tech now.
Any example on IOS epub viewer which is free?
iOS has the native books app that is fine for phone reading. I use libgen and save it as EPUB & open in apple books all the time on iPhone
I can't highlight a pdf
whats the issue with epubs? best format for me, easily readable on every device.
Not a book, but here ya go: https://www.garlic.com/~lynn/subboyd.html
