YC alumni is a valuable title, definitely opens doors.
unless you are CERTAIN your idea is going to grow into a billion dollar company I don't see any reason to turn it down. even then the YC network has proven to be valuable for those companies, possibly crucial to their success
>what are you applying with?
post contact, I'll talk a bit about my idea if you'd like. that being said I'm not even close to being ready to submit the app.

i finished the app in maybe 10 minutes, we got in primarily because of our outrageous revenue numbers
i don't care about status symbol doors. i just like programming, and when those programs make lots of money
also, we're in very late stage capitalism. so if your idea is another b2b saas app i have bad news [email protected]
I'm working on something big right now and I think I would unironically get accepted
but I took a look at their website and it looks like a lot of networking and talking to people cringe
I'm too socially moronic for that
Social media website and app
Anonymous like 4chin but very different medium of communication and with a sprinkle of reddit
don't want to say too much, I been thinking about this idea for years but I'm more serious about it now
I don't know what SV or "stealth startups" are. Look buddy, there is rarely (if ever) an idea that you or I can come up with that hasn't been 1) thought before 2) attempted before 3) attempted and failed before 4) attempted and has varying degree of success
Being on the edge of a brand new about to boom industry where "new" ideas can become successful like the dot-com boom, have less to do with "new" or "innovative" thoughts, and more to do with random fricking chance. Like the autists that were born in the late 70s, early 80s would have reached their 20s in the 1990-2000s and that afforded them opportunities no other generation had because of where the market was at the time.
tl;dr: sharing your "something big" idea on IQfy isn't gonna result in someone "stealing" your idea and then you losing out. just not gonna happen bro

Yea ok but why would I even want to share my idea on an anonymouse forum for morons
ive worked for yc companies and spent a lot of time on hn but it makes me sad how biased and censored it is and how most of their startups do vapid profiteering bs. just another soulless megacorp in a cheap facade
idk. most of what i did was pointless. we had some cool company parties tho. and my first boss gave me some sweet dnb mixes
i also worked at goog for a few months which fricking sucked bc the code stack at google is a fricking nightmare of java and templated c++
No, why? Are you?
Yes I think I will
Cool, Anon. Good luck.
what are you applying with?
i've gotten past the interview, but rejected the offer
>but rejected the offer
why?
