Are you the "reader" in your friend group? Ever since I started reading through the IQfy list in 2022 I've started telling everyone I know.

>friend group
Good joke.
Everyone has a group of friends even if they're not really close
i dont
>Everyone has a group of friends even if they're not really close
Haha...yeah...
I do my best to avoid them if you check my call list you will see all red
im the baneposter chad of my friend group
>friend group
haha
I'm 35, the last friend group I kinda had was in high-school when I not-so-subtly attached myself to 3 guys in my class that were actual friends, so I was spending the breaks with them, but we never went out outside of school. It's all been solo since then.
What in the abysmal hell is the IQfy list, I drifted onto this board like 3 days ago from diy
He's probably referring to one of the Top 100 charts. Read the stickied thread, there's probably a link to a past Top 100 chart.
>Are you the "reader" in your friend group?
Yes, friends occasionally buy me books, it's great
How is Ted's book that thick? The pdf is 34 pages.
It's fake, Anon.
Reader of what? Hentai and IQfy posts? Yeah real “reader”
I have no friends.
I’ve made a good number of friends post-30 which is hard for some people but i’ve abandoned nearly all of them to the point of ignoring texts. I don’t even know why exactly.
In my state of Kentucky families often have a "reader" because the rest of the family is illiterate
You sound pretentious and horrible to be around. Your friends probably make fun of you behind your back
no; i am the heel, the villain, the scoundrel, the butt of every joke, the coward, the hateful, the gorgon, the rapscallion, the high school drop out, the unemployed, the vengeful, the ignorant, the odd man out, the elephant in the room,
You sound very pleasant and interesting.
Your friends are lucky to have such a nice reader in the group!
In one group. My other friend group is comprised of readers, most notably a librarian. His tastes are very "tik tok" though, but he does read classic lit. Last time I was at his place he had a copy of Heart of Darkness bookmarked about half way.
My other friend clusters, I am "the reader" which is very annoying. I am somewhat of a novelty to them because I read, as if it's some special talent.
>friend group
zoomer homosexual spotted
irrelevant to OP's question but holy frick I hate w*rdsworth classics covers so much
My! my! That picrel is art!
My friend group is autistic AF and read more than I ever could.
Is there really no English term for “friend group” I hate it
Friend group, such an ugly term. Like calling breakfast “morning food”
>break fast
Com-rades
Together-scratchers.

Yes. I’m the only person in my life who has read a book after 4th grade.
I only have friends who are readers. Can't hold a conversation with anyone else because I don't watch sportsball
I keep my nonfiction reading secret, I'll only admit to reading scifi when there's a need to account for how I spend my free time. Normies get uncomfortable when they find out that you read old books.
Yes, but I probably read about 1/4th as often as the average person (who actually reads) on IQfy does. I've been getting through a few chapters of novellas, ~10-20 pages of Kant, and occasionally an essay or whatever a day. During classes I almost don't read at all outside of what's required. Most of my day is spent watching zoomerbait Youtube shorts, jerking off, and playing chess. Friends at school talk about me as a sort of weird high society genius but I think it's because I don't talk much unless I've fleshed out what I want to say well, and don't respond with lil Uzi when asked what I listen to. In reality I am scum and feel like a fraud.
>what do you like to read?
>philosophy mostly
>oh, I love Animal Farm!
None that don't have some undertone or other context already attached to it. Probably better to just use "friends" instead of friend group.
What is this image trying to say? That you shouldn't read a book that you might be interested in simply because it's associated with a group that you happen to actually be a part of but you don't like being easily predicted so you reject the connection?
