    >yfw you game in europe on a 14900ks and a rtx 4090 and it literally costs you $0.50c an hour in energy costs to play cyberpunk at 4k with rtx.

yes ofcourse its expensive in yurop
unfortunately this board is plagued with neets whose electricity bills get paid by their parents
so everytime someone says "maybe you shouldnt build a small home server with an ancient 250W cpu" you get a horde of angry replies

The funny thing is it was already higher than that in cities. At least for some restaurants.

California wants to accelerate its hyperinflation and utterly crash Silicon Valley and Hollywood eh?

Two major exports out of California:

          1. Inflation
          2. Bad ideas

The acceptance of funny money from SillyCon Valley in the rest of the country enables bad behavior by the "entrepreneurs" The geeks need to be reigned in before they economy is completely destroyed.

I will switch to Ryzen once my motherboard or CPU dies.
Intelaviv won't have any more money from me.

    >15th gen
Really homie? You buying a new mobo with a new socket? Never understood this shit at all. Every single first iteration of a socket, by israelitetel or AMD is ass. At least with AMD you can get 1 upgrade on the cheap later with the last iteration, but israelitetel is you either get the cuck first gen and deal with first gen shit for your entire mobo's life, or you buy the dead socket in the second gen.

Ignore the fact that 15th gen is also supposedly a new node in new fabs on a new arch lol

I will be buying an 8800X3D or 9800X3D or whatever they end up calling it and no amount of Intcel shilling can stop me.

I don't regret buying a 7950X3D over 14900KS, but I will be jealous as frick if Zen5 CPUs run at lower power and temperatures.

I currently own Zen 3 5950X, 5800X3D, and 14900KF. I’m not a fanboy. Zen 4 didn’t impress me enough. I also buy EVGA motherboards so I’m going to stick with what I have for now.

Because Intel has been aggressively factory overclocking their SKUs since Zen4 dropped. 14th generation is nothing more aggressively factory overclocked 13th chips.

Holy shit, why would anyone buy Intel at this point other than some weird brand loyalty?
Really, what upsides does it have? I guess for specific workloads?
You have to be moronic if you buy it for gaming at least

        >Really, what upsides does it have? I guess for specific workloads?
        Cheaper multicore
        Cheaper motherboards

I'd much rather pay $250 for a higher end z690 board than a destitute b650

Sticking with my Ryzen 5600 for as long as possible and then I'll replace it with another low-end CPU.

Lisa Su recently stated that Zen5 is coming to market this year. The Strix Point APUs are slated for Computex, parts have already been seen in shipping manifests. I imagine desktop parts will launch around Holiday season.
