new ASUS monitors have exceptional colorspace
deltaE is below 1.0
it comes with a color calibrator
they have two models of it: one with MiniLED and another with QD-OLED.
resolution is 4K or 8K depending on model

The one time where I agree
There is nothing really expensive about it
It's just better calibration at the factory.
You can get 95% of the accuracy with your own tools and most monitors.
One big difference is gonna be the ability to use a 3D LUT and 10 step gamma adjustment.
i bought an expensive pro (PRO) monitor back then
(it was some nec 10x more expensive than other panels at market)
well, i will never buy another expensive shit in my life again
it is not worth it
it never was
I am too poor for meme monitors that die 2 days after warranty ran out and have several burn in
Would buying a 100$ (3 months of work here) iiyama or aoc with 96-100% RGB be more reasonable, even for hobbyist 3D artist?
I feel exactly like that anon.
>Monitors break randomly,
lose value faster than cars,
it seems that every 2 years you can get a new monitor that's much better than the one you have but for a smaller price.
How can this monitor be better than actual reference monitors? Its better than a mainstream but not for actual professionals
You're moronic.
SHEEEEEESH
Theyre bringing 8k because Thunderbolt 5 is coming
How many weeks
>just turn up the vibrance and saturation bro
Dont actually do that
It will not be accurate
Yeah, don't do what they're doing in the display booths.
It's a little marketing trick called "lying".
nice cope
Have you ever wondered why you can have a shitty 8bit display (or even 6bit+dither) and see a big differece between two side by side monitors that are supposedly showing off the great color space/accuracy of one of them?
Yeah, it's because they configure them dishonestly.
>60hz
Monitor label says ProArt, not Gaymerz.
DUMB FRICKING Black folk!!!
I never really understood whats so expensive about ""color accuracy"" and "color space"
And why do those things also require that the monitor has shitty max 60hz as if people using productivity applications wouldnt want it to be at least 120hz minimum.
they are for photographers and printing shits
I have a feeling if they got some decently calibrated mass market 144hz gamer display they'd use it for work and no one could tell the difference
some people are incredibly autistic about colours and can notice tiny differences
The differences tend to be so small you need calibration equipment to make any sorta statement and interpret the data "this variance could lead to slightly incorrect human skin tones or lack of detail in blacks"
Dell recently put out some ultrasharps that do 120hz . There is a proart that goes up to 165hz. Honestly, most of the people who use these kinds of monitors don't know or care about high refresh rates.
It's so that you know what your art looks like on an ideal monitor. It's not 120hz because that's completely pointless if you're not gaming.
no one wants color accuracy.
we want faster displays with no ghosting. I'll take a vibrant 165 hz OLED over any bullshit you give me
Is this a re-release of the PREDATOR meme monitors that were the stuff like 5 years ago?
in what way could they be?
did you have 4k zone miniled 8k panels or qd OLED 4k panels 5 years ago?
no but they are still like 1500 dollars today and outdated by this things standards
>resoluution
why finnish is so dumb in a cute way
its genitive of resoluutio, as in resolution's
Thankfully finnish language is dying and wont be around for long
>under 2,000 nits for $8,000
The price needs to come down by half. 2,000 nits will be commonplace in just a couple years. Some affordable TVs are already reaching that level. A lower resolution 5k panel and 10,000 zones that can reach 2,000 nits would be more worth the price, considering lower tier professionals will want to replace this in only a couple of years. We're nowhere near mass adoption of 8K. I guess it could work for still images, like for photography and drawing. But for video it prioritizes all the wrong things.
i will never ever buy a fricking asus monitor in my entire life again. They are shit and their support is fricking dog shit. They're repair is also dog shit that doesn't repair anything at all. I highly suggest anyone to NEVER EVER buy there shit. I have a 32" monitor 170hz and they wanted me to keep sending them the fricking thing over and over instead of just sending me a new one. I sent it once they send it back and it STILL isn't fixed. Wasting my time frick'em. Even philips has a better return policy and repair then that shithole. Frick asus monitors.
dont buy them.
the only reason I'm using them is the 16:10 aspect ratio
