Two more weeks? It's funny how people have been going on about a new depression / crash every single month for the last decade and the closest it came to happening was in 2020 during covid but even that was just a small dip compared to the 2008 recession.
They've come up with new and unique ways of "monetary policy" over the last 25 years to prevent depressions. The latest being "Quantitative Easing"
The problem is that these are just advanced talmudic money magic illusions, and don't address the real underlying problems (of which there are many). In fact many of the these "talmudic money magic illusions" will actually make the inevitable crash worse.
A good example is importing millions of brown morons to depress wages which lowers inflation. The end result is lower (per capita) productivity and a shrinking tax base, for an expanding population.
People can argue about which "time bomb" is the worst but it's like a plate spinner performer keeping a dozen problems from crashing all at once.
Personally I think it will be the unfunded mandates (SS, SSD, Medicaid) and underfunded pensions (especially for government and union workers), as the last of the boomers all retire at once. Some estimates put what these programs need at over 180 TRILLION dollars.
