American here, what's your guys take home pay after taxes and deductions? Just curious, mine is around $4k per month, though I do deduct 10% for a 401k plan. I will admit it's not a huge salary here, but I do live in the Midwest so the cost of living is low.
After deductions I make just under £3k so that's about the same as you but then I live in the Norf where it's cheaper. However I also do side-work which brings it up to usually about £5k.
