>be humans
>develop superpower of throwing stuff that lets you conquer nature
>develop superpower of writing and counting that lets you establish cultures
>develop superpower of logic that lets you invent technological marvels
>develop superpower of trade that lets you conquer the world
>read a story about some cool human
>he's a warrior with a sword that is driven by honor and emotions
Why is there such contrast between what makes humans successful and what most of the population imagine under "hero"

It's almost like you don't understand what a story is for.
what is a story for?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Campbell
here ya go.
People are suppressed with violence so the "important" people you listed can enjoy their lives more, often for reasons that don't actually improve their lives in a material sense but just satisfy their ego/sadistic desires. It's fun for people to fantasize about being strong/brave enough to liberate themselves and turn the tables on their abusers.
Frick off commie homosexual.
Is Conan the Barbarian a "commie homosexual" you moronic troony? Nobody wants to be a slave and the whole point of the Conan the Barbarian stories is that he's strong enough that he doesn't have to be, this is what makes people want to be like him, which is why he's a popular "hero" archetype.
>you moronic troony
Look who’s talking
Only a troony would view being a slave as a good thing and call people who don't want to be slaves "commie homosexuals" you stupid troony.
>Only a troony would view being a slave as a good thing
Most people are natural slaves. There is nothing wrong with this.
No they aren't and yes there is. Nobody ever wanted to be a slave except moronic trannies like you.
>Nobody ever wanted to be a slave
Well you and I obviously don’t, but how can you deny that the world is full of countless betas and npcs waiting to be harnessed?
This. Just look at all the smiling wagies hard at work next time you go out. They’re certainly busy bees, and proud of it. Its the natural order of things.
The Wild Man is one of the most fequent archetypes in human culture. He symbolizes the raw strength and simple values that reside inside all of us.
Roland, the ideal of a knight
>emotional, driven by pride
>occupation consists of fighting with a sword
The Conan of the Conan the Barbarian stories is more or less driven by lust for adventure and is cool and collect in more of Robert E Howards works.
People have the safety and resources to waste time on writing and counting because men with swords/weapons enforce the peace and provide food.
People have the safety and resources to pursue academic pursuits because men with swords and weapons provide the peace and security to do so.
People are able to engage in profitable trade and commerce because men with swords and weapons enforce contracts and laws.
All life is a battle, from the smallest microbe to the largest whales, life is a struggle for survival against all the odds. Man vs nature, Man vs Man, Man vs God. All the other achievements and "super powers" you attribute to humans are only possible because humans were, first and foremost, the greatest apex predator and killing machines the crucible of Earth has ever produced. All of the strengths you listed, writing and counting, logic, and trade, flow from and are a product of, our capability to inflict violence and force to ensure our own survival. At the end of the day, it is the Man with the sword that applies force, and thus all things that come with it.
>waste time on writing and counting because men with swords/weapons enforce the peace
Historically those were the same people though
I'm not discounting that, the tradition of the Warrior-poet is both universal to nearly all civilizations, and a common trope in fiction.
because it's a dangerous world and we all long to become masters of our fate through the strength of arm, and strength of mind/will. Conan was as cunning as he was brawny. Don't you desire in your heart of hearts to go forth and endure the pitiless blow of Fate and not only shrug it off, but take from it and more?
Because people know that civilization is held together by pure bullshit. When we can't do what we want, we fantasize about destroying it with the truth of death through a sword or a gun.
Did you cut youself with that edge, gay?
No.
Because martial skill is the culmination of all this. Writing, counting, logic, trade, agriculture, industry, commerce, "throwing stuff", all of it is ultimately for the end product of supporting warriors who can defend you against rival humans so you don't get exterminated and cease to exist.
source?
Go live in Somalia and try and use your "super powers" of writing, trade, and logic, to survive and let me know how that goes.
Violence is cool
Violence with a purpose is cool.
Conan is the epitome of human, he fights and fricks and kills. The warrior is the basal most pure form of humanity. If you want to look at it from a fantasy perspective, the logicians and alchemists are wizards, merchants are also a mainstay in fantasy.
In a room with a King, a Priest, a Merchant, and a Warrior, who has the real power?
But why is the Warrior the most adored and venerated?
The rely answer is me, I have the power. Each of them relies on me to recognise what they are and utilise them for their purpose
