I've mained Linux mint now for 2 years, although I still don't particularly consider myself a Linux guy. I would say Mint is the best I've tried.
Doing cross platform development from Mint to Windows has been a breeze. Mint feels like windows in some ways, compared to the other distros.

If you have to ask this question instead of trying a few yourself just go the frick back to Windows.
Mint with cinnamon or Zorin, those 2 have the closer feeling to a windowns enviroment.

This was the linux distro that made me switch, OP. It's really good and rock-solid. Try it! It feels really nice. Similar distros that also felt really polished and nice:
