both come from debian, just install debian and use the parent, no reason to use a shit derivative. also, why bother installing the regular install, just use netinstall and install everything yourself, that way all derivatives become irrelevant. derivatives are for people who don't know how to make their own decisions about software

    Windows 10
I don't know anything about coding I just wanted to say Windows 10. I have read online from coders that OSX used to be the go-to but since then Windows has come along enough that it really doesn't matter.

    Linux objectively
I noticed Mac doesn't have libc wouldn't surprise if it was missing other things.
Windows Linux integration is also a hacky solution.

Do you virtualize this or run it on bare metal? Can it be virtualized on a win 11 machine?

I want to use TempleOS to make my own Terry color schemed maids like picrel.

        No_file

Both, we use virtualbox and bare metal on a Thinkpad T60.
To be precise, we don't care if templeos is running on win11.
        Screw Windows, screw Unix.

That's pretty cool fren. Is there somewhere I can go to read about getting this setup rolling in VirtualBox?

Ngl the best is tweak Emacs on a Linux distro of your choice so you have all the things of the Linux environment with the extensibility of Emacs.

For starting tho just use whatever OS (Windows probably) you are on but I'd suggest Sublime if you are just learning to program. Sublime is not the most advanced thing but is lean and idiotproof.

But remember, Linux has more and better tools and Emacs is literally programable.
