Probably librewolf or firefox. There aren't many options today, sadly. Everything is a gay chromium fork

I have had one question floating in my thoughts lately. I think it is appropriate thread to ask it.

    >Brave is free and open source web browser
    >Nobody likes vpn/ai/crypto moronic bullshit that brave implements
    >Why tf nobody forked it with all amesome privacy features and without bs?

Why would they spend energy forking when you can disable the unwanted features...

Because you can't disable the telemetry and remote installation of plugins from their servers

Brave was made by Brandon Eich, who got kicked out when he was considered too “Based” for Wokezilla. However Brave also has to make money so this is how they do it. Personally I use it for iOS since it’s the best built-in adblocker without any additional shit. However not on desktop since mainline is more functionally secure, with noscript and ublock origin, more security secure.

Edge and Floor because they're the fastest chromium/FF forks and I stopped giving a shit about online privacy when I realized how much of a pain in the ass it was to actually maintain.

Old edge before it was a chromium reskin was pretty good and could have shaken up the market, but google started slowing down non-chrome browsers on google sites, and it killed old edge. Though I think the real reason old edge got killed was that it made no difference if edge used its own engine or chromium, it was all about stealing user data and ads in the end do edge team got scrapped.

I'm trying to switch to Firefox from Chrome-based browsers but I have 2 big problems with it:
    1) The screen tears when I scroll, it's like the scrolling on Chrome-based browsers is smoother
    2) Font rendering,Firefox renders the font in a more ''crude'' way, on Chrome browsers the font are more soft and readable for some reason, on Firefox they appear like there's no smoothing (antialiasing? blur?) applied

Tried some of the suggestions found online where you frick around in about:config but I still haven't solved those issues

I managed to fix the second problem at some point by fricking with about:config, but it still looked worse than any chromium browser.

Yeah I did improve it a bit by fricking with parameters in about:config but it still looks nowhere as soft and readable as Chromium based browsers (pic: Firefox in the upper half, Opera in the lower half)

The screen tearing is ''fixed'' by disabling ''smooth scrolling'' in the preferences, but then without smoothing scrolling feels like you are back in 1997 using Netscape or something
